I lined up with an LT1 tonight.

I was about to stop for a red light. I looked to my left mirror an LT1 coming next to, before he stopped the lights terns green so he slowed a bit, we where running like 10 miles when we slammed it. He was amazed so did I, I took the jump and pulled so hard on him in the 1st and 2nd gears but unfortunately he pulled harder on me in the 3rd gear. He was about one car ahead of me when we got to the next traffic light, he turned left and I drove straight ahead.

Can any one tell me please was it my car running good or it was the LT1 running like a dog?

My mods:
K&N air filter.
Air Foil.
JET fan switch and thermostat
MSD 8.5 wires + cap + rotor.
High Flow cat.

Nope, stock for stock (you are pretty stock) that is all right. They are not that much faster than an L98. We have better low RPM TQ, they have better high RPM HP. A few more heavier mods and you should start beating them.

I agree. You're better down low, he's better up top.

That is how the typical L98 vs LT1 race will go. L98 come off the line ahead and gets passed down the track. Its very similar to a LT1 vs LS1 race.

Good race (even though you didnt win)

Thats not too bad for street racing. I usually go to 70-85 at the most when I do. Thats cool to know you can stay with one till 3rd
