stupid rice

me and my dad were coming home from buying some stuuf to do some house work when we pull up to a light and this stupid little toyota something with a fart can starts reving at us. we are in my parents 96 oldsmoblie bravada(like a blazer) with a 4.3 v6 and 4 wheel drive. so this guy is revving at us and my dad is laughing histaricly(spelling?) and when the light turns green he hamers it and so does the *****. the good thing about the bravada is that it has smart trac which is anytiemthe rear wheels slip it auto kicks in 4 wheel drive. but anyway we hammer it and the wheels spinn a little then 4 kicks in and awesome traction we beat the little toy by a mile. lol just thought id tell ya i thought it was pretty funny. and if ur wonder yes he did do the famous ***** flyby

Hate to tell you but it weighs more than 6000. A fully loaded one weighs in a lot closer to 7000.

Actually, I've seen the diesels duking it out at the track before (yeah they were racing the trucks they towed up their race cars with! It was hilarious) I think it was a doge and a new HD GM truck kept going at it over and over, and in their later runs as they kept getting better they both were running 16s.

The funniest part is, the tow trucks were probably faster than some of the ricers in attendance!! lol :hail: 16 sec tow trucks

baha!! so let me see.. so if they do this at the dragway
rather than stopping.. they will just run off the track and die..

Byron Dragway has woods at the end... so
when they do the ***** fly-by :sillylol: (this is crackin me up)
they will then be doing 150mph right into the trees!!

ROTFL!!

this is great!!!

bahahaha

My local track is a 1/8 mile. I'm usually wound out in second gear, say 5000 rpm's or so. I go through the traps, let off, and then click it into OD and just coast down the track, no sense in burning up the brakes right? Everytime I ran with a ***** they blow by and then lock up the brakes at the end so they can be the first one to turn off, no track ettiquette at all. I always thought the winner turned off first. Anyhow that's how it goes with most all of them. WTF?

well since their cars are built to race at the higher revs they are usually in the mindset of a high speed race ... so when ppl let off at 80 they keep going ... hence the infameous ***** fly by

racing from a stop to like 80 is cool ... but racing from 60 to 150 is a completely different type of race.

seriously, you shouldnt be doing 80 on the street, let alone 150. anyone who goes over 100mph on the street is asking for death. youre not only putting yourself at risk, but everyone else on the road as well. if you want to go that fast, race on some kinda track, be it a dragstrip or autocross course. ive seen too many fatalities from stupid people going way to fast on the street. the "***** fly by" is not only moronic, but extremely deadly

I agree 100%.. If you havent won
the race up to 100mph give it up..
thats like if there was a 30 minute pie eating contest.. If you are told to eat as many pies as you can in 30 minutes.. whatever you eat after that is just your own stupidity.... the contest is over.. the man went home with his prize.. all your gonna do is sit and get fat....

owning a ***** is like winning the special olympics.. even if you win.. your still retarded

Agree'd, if you're street racing in the first place then you're putting yourself and others into danger. It dosn't matter if you're going 80, 100, or 150 .. other ppl are going the speedlimit and they aren't expecting some car to fly by doing twice the limit.

I was just trying to explain the mindset of someone racing an import ... they have no torque and they only go fast at the high revs (higher speeds). Domestics have alot of torque so you can go fast in the low revs. When you race an import he/she is expecting a high speed race while you are expecting a low speed race. I wasnt saying either is 'OK' but I was just trying to help. I agree with you, I dont race on the streets, I take it to the track.

But I do know friends with cars that go really fast from 60 to 150 and really slow from 0 to 80 ... different types of cars tuned for different types of racing.

Yup.. This is true..

My roomate had a 99 Mercury Cougar
and it wasnt that quick off the line
but after 60 it just pulled like crazy
for some reason.. and his VSS doesnt stop him till 140 "quoting my roomate" I dont know for fact.. but thats what he said his dealer told him anyways.

I do know this though.,. I raced him and I won the race up to 115 then I couldnt go any faster cuz of the VSS (or should I say BSS "Bullcrap speed sensor) he just kept on going and said he slowed down when he was up to 130
