I've been wrong before Monkie, but from what I've seen here most people would rather **** on your leg than shake your hand, and they don't believe a word you say. If you are all that you say why don't you just sigh at the fact that people will not embrace your vast amounts of knowledge and move on to people who can benefit from and appreciate you.

I dont really care about anyone on this whole site give a few guys here and there (none which are in here). I'm sorry child but the Z06 isn't that much faster. A SCed 4.6L Cobra would waste a Z06.

YTour really a dumb ***, DYNO tested in MM & FF they were good for APPROX 8-10RWHP, your talking a 100 HP for that MPH improvement.

Alright well if the z06 will be running scared how come over on turbobuick.com I saw timeslips posted for a stock 02' Z06 and it went mid-high 11's consistently. I believe it's best time on the stock tires was an 11.6. Drag radials did little to nothing the best time run with the drags was also an 11.6 if I remember correctly. I don't see a 03' cobra posting numbers like that anytime soon.

i disagree that the new mustang goin to be a problem for the vette cuz the vette is way light than the mustang and if ur goin to do some free mods to the stang u got to do some free mods to the vette just to be free and that vette will hand that mustang is butt each and everytime hands down.
but i do agree with u on racin the gta and lanchin off of idle cuz they get wheel hop bad well at least the one that i drove did.
and for the record when i had my 305 i was ready to race anything vipers, and the reallt do roll out even with some granny shifting sap at the wheel

This is getting old. I'm done with the flaming on here. We went from me racing a GTA to arguing about times on a stock 2003 Cobra to arguing about pulleys.

Ok let me clear it up once and for all..... A 2003 Cobra with stock lightning pulleys and a free mod (I'm guessing taking the air silencer out) ran a best of 12.05@117mph. There....

I have no idea what the boost differences are. And the free mod is taking out the air silencer. Its actually more restrictive than most people think. I heard that the 2 main restrictions on the 03 are air intake and exhaust. I think I heard 20hp with CAI and 30 with catback exhaust.

It's with a heavy heart that I report the following. The 2003 Cobra (which is still in the possesion of the MM&FF staff) went 12.10/117 (1.92 60-ft.) last Friday on the factory radial tires. The car was entirely stock except for one mod: the factory blower pulley was replaced with a throw-away stock Lightning truck pulley. The stock Lightning pulley is smaller and is a direct/easy swap. It produced absolutely no knock or knock retard with pump gas.
It looks like these things are gonna go 11s for about 10 cents in parts.

Too bad that wont happen to any Cobra's for a while. Ford has said that if they even suspect that you have touched the SCer pulley that they will void your warrantee. In fact they also said that no one other than a Ford dealership can work on the car.

I have no idea but I wouldn't want to void a warrantee I paid for. And knowing my luck they would have this magical machine that sees if you mess with the pulleys or not. :sillylol:

You guys are getting all pissed off over over somthing that doesn't have anything to do with us. Monkie, your not getting an 03 Cobra and none of us are getting a ZO6, but I understand, it's brand loyalty. The ZO6 is in a totally different league than the 03 Cobra, it handles better, brakes better, in my opinion looks better and it is faster than the 03 Cobra ever could dream of being in STOCK form. Put the 2 of them on a road course and the ZO6 will slaughter the Cobra. The LS6 is completely different than the LS1, it has different heads, cam, intake manifold, MAF, and I think a different TB.

Your right the Z06's ball's are bigger than the Cobra's because the Cobra has a P***Y J/K. They are both great cars. What is the C/R on the 03 Cobra, What is the stock boost, How much boost will the engine hold, How does it respond to headers and X-pipe and exhaust.

The boost put out stock is 9psi. I don't know what it will take but it has forged internals. And they say 30rwhp with catback because the stock piping is 2.25. X pipe will give it about 5hp and headers will give it about 15hp

The stock compression ratio is 8.5:1 on the 03's cobras. Which will leave some room for more boost than 9psi that's for sure.
