better to push a ford or a chevy than to drive a honda.

I like all V-8's, No matter who makes it. A mustang is the sweetest sounding car.

What makes a sh**ty car is the attitude of the driver.

Man nice stang I have nothing against them my friend handed my a** to me with his stang. I was thinking of getting one myself but there are too many around me and I wanted something different. The best thing about them is they take well to mods and have a HUGE aftermarket. The only problem is that they are a FORD j/k I love all american muscle its the rice we must destroy

Also, off topic but could someone tell me what year of Monte Carlo Denzel Washington drives in "Training Day".

I probably would have bought a fox body when i was shopping for a car but i knew nothing about cars at the time..i was like ooo ooo a v8 camaro...little did i know it was a very slow v8 camaro...oh well.

Hey guys, im not a big ford fan, could care less for pix of mustangs, BUT, I never saw anything when i registered that you have to be a f-body owner to have membersip to the site. Were I live, I see a mustang hopped up like those 2 at some point every day. However the site is meant for informative and entertanment purposes. None of us are the elite, untouchable, but like everywhere else, you get an arrogant, ignorant, hemmroid that has to start yelling and whining. Sad thing is, his name afrikingoodtime, seems he is the only one who is allowed to have A Freaking Good Time. Sorry man, but the mustang guys, and what import guys that are here, are welcome to me, they cotribute info, and not headache. SO DROP THE " I'M THE ALMIGHTY" ATTITUDE AND USE THE BOARD FOR ITS INTENDED PURPOSE!!!!!

PS, Just for prosperity, the Stangs look Ok. Like i said, not a mustang fan.

Hey Cobrakiller, that Lincoln looks really nice, the combo of the black car and the chrome Cobra Rs looks really good!

I didn't think it said only Fbody owners can join!

Here is a scenerio where Mustang guys can appreciated: When someone asks if their Z28 can keep up with their friends 1989 GT 5-speed with an exhaust and gears. Seriousely how many Fbody owners know what the Mustang would run in the 1/4 and if he would stand a chance! Here is where the Mustang guy comes in and says he would run anywhere from a 14.0-14.4, so go for it and race him. It doesn't sound hard but most of us Mustang guys have been there or had a friend that has been there so we can give good realistic and in my case (as with most of the Mustang guys case) unbiased opinion!

So you see we are only here to help out the Fbody guys, and do a little sticking up for the Mustangs in the process.

I can't imagine....

What's wrong with everyone? I don't see why when 5.0 finally gets the chance to post his pics, you guys fly off the handle!
He never said anything but "I got my camera and I finally can post some pictures for you to see!"
Nothing more.
It went totally off-topic.
We all love our cars. Nice pictures 5.0.
Let's not turn into those kind of people who hate everyone that has a different kind of vehicle.

Wow really? I go weeks at a time without seeing another decent stang. Where i live the rice movement is in full swing and I don't see any 3rd gen Mustang or F-bodys at all. I see new 4th gens all the time but 75% of those are V6's and half of the V8's are riced in some way.

Thanks snowdog91... I like hearing the opinions from everyone. If he doesn't like the car it is fine, but he didn't have to go crazy. Oh ya btw, where did you get that hood, my cousin was looking for one for his '86 and that one has really nice lines! How would that look on a 1986 T/A with 17x8 Crager SSs, in bright red?

Same hood as me, cept i painted it a tad differently. Company called ASCD.

Nice pics 5.0 btw, my neighboor has a phat 00 GT that sounds schweet. ME LIKES it!!! He used to have a 93ish GT (has the grilled back tailights) that he put the GT-40 longblock crate engine in.

And don't worry about the critisim (SP?) You got your car cause you liked it, you fixed it up because you like it and drive it cause you like it. Thats all that matters!

I was wondering why this post had so many replies. Personally I love Stangs, I've owned 2 and my 302 one was way faster than my slow POS that I have way more invested in. It didn't look or handle as good, but it was fast.

I remember when I used to think my car was "all that" and that all Mustangs were crap(except from 64-70). But as I grew older I found respect for mustang owners especially after I got to drive a friend's 94 GT. Man, that thing shut me up a few times. I couldn't believe how much power a 5.0 had and how easy it is to mod. I still like the Camaro better but I give a nod to the Mustang owners. BTW, nice cars guys.

Hey zupman nice Mustang. Everytime I see an early model I want my old 66 back.

Thanks to everyone for sticking up for the Mustang guys. We appreciate that 95% of the guys here like us and trust our advice. I have spent alot of time, and nearly all my money on my Stang and if I had a 3rd gen I would have done the same. I personally only care about the straight line performance and I know that my car is horrible in the twisties. I just want to thank everyone here.

Oh ya in that post with the picture of the "ZR1", did they ever come with those stock wheels. I have personally never seen one with those!

Took the juice out though, never needed it, and pain in the but to work around the extra plumbing and solinoids. This car and myself used to be sponsered by Cone Chev. in fullerton and Centerforce and can be street driven daily ( 540 hp W/out juice)

Yea, it did some damage to the hood too:

I'm going tomorrow morning for an estimate. My initial guess is about $1600 worth of damage. I know the body parts alone are going to run right around $1100, but not sure on paint and labor.

Even though this is an f-body board,it doesn't mean that people who don't own f-bodies are not welcome. Actually makes me feel good that mustang owners, and others for that fact, come to this board and like it and its members. This board has a lot of cool and helpful people. But the downside is that people like you (AFrikinSh!tHead)can come aboard and run your mouth like an immature little kid, acting like a badass because no one can see you. Besides, I'd rather take any of those stangs than that @$$ ugly vette you posted anyday.

BTW,those are some nice stangs you guys posted.

MMMMM .. venecin ...... ::homer simpson droll::

does insurance cover that because its like a natural something or another. My uncle in PA just smashed his car into a tree to miss a deer and his insurance is giving him all the money for his car.

Nic that sucks. I was hit at my school a few months ago and that pic of the haedlight and fender looked exactly like mine did. Hey if you are having some deer, I could get you some good recipes!!! J/K!

I like that he now runs 10s. Well gues what my 14.1 is old, now I'm solidly in the 9s I just haven't had the time (even though I have been responding to this thread) to update it!!!

Give me a break!!!

Hell yea insurance is covering it. They just cut me a $2600 check for a car I only payed $1000 for and I get to keep the car!

There's an '89 coupe w/good body in the trading post for $500 obo I'm going to pick up tonight if the guy still has it. I can probably make that much off parting out the remainder of the '93.

If the guy doesn't have the coupe anymore, I'm going to run take a look at either this '86 Berlinetta for $850 or an 87 4 cyl. for $800 obo.

Gotta love the blood splatter pic I think insurance deems that an "act of G O D" or something along those lines cause my friend had that happen to him and insurance covered it minus his decuctible. And my money would be on shrp1 all the way :hail: TTA
And 5.0mustang..man that 14.1 will get better next time you go to the track i'm sure with your mods you should be solidly in the 13's and will get there i'm sure. And Nic instead of just being an honorary f-body owner go out and get a nice cheap thirdgen with your insurance money and work your magic like you did with your 5.0 coupe Or of course you could always put the 5.0 into the 10's.

If I get a 4 cyl Mustang, it'll be getting the higher hp version out of my '93 and that's it. All the left over money will be going to the coupe

Well...actually it'll all be going to paying off credit card bills on whats already gone onto the coupe

That's why i've only got one credit card with a $500 limit. If I had a card with anything over $1500 i'd probably get myself in trouble.

P.s. You'd better watch what you wih for. You web site says 12.79@ 110mph. I run 10.8@134mph on street tires without the juice. Took the juice out though, never needed it, and pain in the but to work around the extra plumbing and solinoids. This car and myself used to be sponsered by Cone Chev. in fullerton and Centerforce and can be street driven daily ( 540 hp W/out juice)

The best thing is it runs...what did he say 0-60 in 2sec and it runs 134 in the 1/4, well you guys do the math....

10.8's Nope if all the above was true and I dont thin k it is, he would be a 9sec car, and IF it was that it cetainly wouldnt be no road racer too.........

Cant have it all my friend so which is it???

FESS up your full of bovine excrement!!
