Finally got a digital camera and took some pics.

If you look closely you can see the racers pass on the top of the windsheild, this was a few days after I went to the track! Although I was disappointed I learned a few things and will hopefully get into the 13s next time!

 

Nice, but how come the pics came out that way? Is it the way you downsized the pic, that's what happened to a few of mine, till I learned how to reduce the size better.

 

I just went to resize and had to keep trying until I had the right number of pixels to fit. I don't know why the pictures are like that, but they do start off very big.

Any suggestions on how to resize them so they look good.

just because he has a mustang doesn't mean he isn't welcome. he's helpful unlike some people (you). he doesn't talk trash (unlike you) and his car is probably faster than yours.

one of my friends has a 93 and said it was the last year for the 5.0. its the newer body style (not a foxbody like your guys) i was just wondering if it does have the 5.0 or not.

I'm dealing with an un educated person obviously.
I NEVER SAID YOU CAN'T ASK ABOUT OTHER CARS PERFORMANCE. What I am saying repeatedly is that posting mustangs on this website is Not what the site is here for. The topic is 3rd Generation F-bodies and what they can and can not beat.
It is not intented for Mustang owners to come in here and brag/showoff their Mustangs. If any F-body doesn't agree and get upset about it, then I'd say you are a sellout. If you agree then let's here it.

 

These message boards are great. The moderators are cool, they are used by many people, they offer tons of help, and there are very few jerks on them. Most other boards are not this cool, so respect that they are open to anyone, nomatter what kind of car they have. This thread will probibly be locked soon anyway, so have a nice day.

 

I think that its cool to have input from non-f-body owners, and if they post pics of their cars here then so be it. It makes them feel at home and im glad we have their input. If you don't like it, you can always leave, nobodies forcing you to stay on these boards.

Grow the f*ck up. 5.0mustang, Mustang5l5, Nic, rx7speed and some others are non-f-body owners, but they're respectful and provide good information, and we return the favor (most of us). What better way to learn about what it takes to beat the competition than to hang out with them. Go ahead and let them post pics of their cars and make a few posts unrelated to f-bodies. They're well-established members of this board, so give em some slack. You have a fast vette and you're building an f-body. So what? With an attitude like your's, you could have the coolest car in the world and I wouldn't give a rat's ***. I'm not the biggest fan of the hatchback LX but yours is just a beautiful specimen. I really like the decals running along the body molding. And 5L5 your car is really nice looking too the saleen wing and cobra wheels make it look rather nice. And the fact that it's black doesn't hurt either. Well IMO the mustang guys are more helpful than any closed minded f-body owner on this site. So keep posting and ignore the trash. :lala:

 

dude chill out, i have a 92 Z28 that I smoke every single Mustang I have come up against, But I do not put down Mustang owners they are cool, My friend Mike has Mustang GT and it's quick! For *** sakes, Besides my Z-28, I also have a FORD Aerostar and a Mercury Topaz XR5!!!!!!! So are you gonna rat on me for owning TWO Fords!!!!

 

Hey Mustang5L5, your car looks really good, everytime I see those rims I like them even more. I was never a fan of the Saleen wings on LXs but it looks good combined with the rims and the BLACK paint.

AFrikenGoodTime, I don't really care if you like Mustangs or not, but I get respect here, and I value their opinion on my car. I like hearing what the Fbody crowd thinks of what my car looks like whether it is good or bad. Asking what Mustang guys think is stupid, because they will obviousely like the car!

I know this is the street racing board and this has nothing to do with 3rd gens, but I know more guys on this board and was hoping to get some replys before it gets moved. I never inteded for a flame war, but the newer guys here, no matter what they drive should not shoot their mouths off. I have been here for quite a while and have combined over 600 posts, remember when I was 89Mustang!!!

I like posting here and will continue to do so, until I am not wanted by anyone. Some people don't mind and the others will have to live with a Mustang guy or two here.

Smokin87iroc, the 1993 stang looks just like ours and the last year for the 5.0 was 1995. The new change from the Fox-body platform to the SN-95 platform was in 1994, so he either has a 94 or 95. 96-02 has the 4.6 so he could have a newer style Mustang with a 5.0, but not a 93.

 

ok thats what i thought. i saw his car but i didn't go look on the taillights for a year (is that done on fords?) but i was pretty sure that ford didn't change the bodystyle the same year chevy did.

The taillights for the 94-95 model year are the 3-horizontal bar style lights. The 96-up changed to a 3-vertical bar style. That's the only major external difference between a 94-95 5.0L and a 96-98 4.6L stang. The last year for the 5.0L was 1995, but the last year for the 3rd gen style (looks like ours) is 1993

i'm sorry i didn't explain myself very well. i meant the year of the car is molded into the plastic tail lights. like my 3rd brake light has "DOT 1987" molded into it.

I also have to agree that this is one of the stupidest things ever said. Guess I'm a sellout than. I like cars in general and talking to the owners that enjoy them. I have quite a few friends that are into cars, but only one that has a thirdgen and two others with other chevys. In the sports car club I'm in, we all get along real well and we have everything form first gen camaros and vettes to the latest rice burners and everything in between. If there's any rivalry, it's between the domestics and the imports, but that's friendly. As far as I'm concerned, the mustang and import guys on thsi board that don't cause trouble aren't any different from my membership in the local Ford truck club. I don't have a Ford truck, but most of the guys in the club are my friends, I work on a lot of the trucks, and I go mudding with them. We have a blast, but if I was a close-minded, chevy only jerk, this door would be closed to me. Am I a sellout? By your description yesy, but I'm damn proud of it.

I dont know about you guys, but I personally like Fox Body Mustangs, and cars in general. I just dont like ignorant owners of the cars who dont have the faintest idea about what they are or whats fast. The so called ricers are what I hate, but realize that if a ***** is someone who puts tacky trim or false badging on a car not so equipped, I can name several people I know with riced out stang and camaros. There was a very ***** Camaro at my school for a while, and I remember how much bull he fed me for having only the 2.8. He totalled it before I had a chance to go after him with the T/A.

As much as many of us hate to admit it, a 5.0 Mustang is not an expensive car to make fast. In fact, since I was going for maximum speed, I would own a 5.0 Mustang if I didnt have the 350 in my garage or someone with the knowledge on how to do motor swaps around. There is many a 5.0 Mustang that would blow my doors off around here. There is many a 5.0 Mustang I'd blow the doors off of.

Cars are cars, and anyone who is into cars (I dont care what, imports, stangs, chevys, pontiacs, nostalgic cars, trucks whatever) is welcome on this board.

I usually only check out the racing board and know most of the guys here and want to hear their opinion. i figured it would get moved or locked, but I just wanted to hear some opinions on what the ENEMY thinks of my car!!! J/K!

 

My personal preference between the fox body and the 3rd gen f body is the f . But im not gonna say its better. I may not be a long time member of the board but Ithink its cool to have all kinds of cars here.
