Rain = Fun

tonight i was out with some friends and we were looking for some parking lots so we could line up our cars and get soem shots... well it started to rain a little right when we found this huge abondoned parking lot. so we sat around in our cars talking and listening to music till it stopped. we all went to lign up but i decided to let my friends watch some brodies... i go way far away and doing about 20 i hit the brakes then the gas and crank the wheel to throw me into a 180. i hit the gan and start swirving and put it to WOT and start doing 360's while sliding closer to them. when i got close enough i stoped and started to do some doughnuts like 15 feet from everyone and everyone was cheering and laughin while they were video tapin. so from then on until rent a bacon came and broke it up 2 hours later and with lots of great footage.

As a rule of thumb I don't videotape my discresions

I like snow a lot more than rain... it's much better for tires and a lot more slippery I was very pleased with the one donut I did this past winter (very dry season)... It was mostly a victory dance for surviving the drive to my college LOL. I had some spectators too, which makes my car all that much cooler in the parking lot ranks...

Hey nothings wrong with drifting. I love drifting...I used to be a drag racer, but I'm kinda bored of it now. THen I found Grip style (auto X) but now I"m bored of that. Why you ask? cause I found drifting...nothing can match drifting...its pure fun and requires pure skill...the thing is I dont think most of you know what a real drift is. I see alot of guys who do a fish tail or powerslide and think they pulled off a nutz drift. Sorry but that aint true thats how I used to be. I thought I was a bad *** drifter. Till I watched some option videos from japan and then I knew I sucked ****. They break out the back end way way before the turn and slide the whole turn full out sideways. ANd then they dont come out of hte drift. THey connect it to the next upcoming turn. If theres a straight away? they dont pound it down teh straigt...they drift down the straight away! Now days I can pull off straight line drifting, early break out of the rear, connecting turns, etc. And I'm still only average....to everyone on this board who thinks they can drift. I dont want to talk ****. But go grab a options video and it will change your mind.

I've seen some of those drifting video's and it looks hard. Are there any special tricks to doing it? I've wanted to try, but i always puss out. I guess I should give it a shot in an empty parking lot before I try it on corners. And is there any special suspension or tire tricks that help?

Hmmm...pretty much having a stiff suspension is good. Not TOO stiff but stiff. Also having your frame well connected like subframe connectors, strut tower bars, the wonder bar, etc. As for tire tricks? uhhh...not really any. Yea I'd suggest starting off in a open parking lot. Which is kinda what I did when I started off. I only did it in the rain. Mostly to try and learn how to control the slide. Also cause I didnt want to burn my tires...and another reason you dont hear tires screaming attracting cops haha...after that move onto the turns...I'd just like to tell you something in advance....you are going to crash...once you get into the world of drifting...you WILL crash a few times. Some of them being super bad..some of them being not so bad. Me? I've dented my front fenders, broke my front lip 30+ times, curbed rims, broke off my rear rocker panel GFX, cracked my back bumper, etc, etc. Its gonna happen...so prepare yourself for it...

Hey, I'm with primer, does drifting on GT3 count? My best drifter in my garage is a Subaru.

yup, maybe they'll cover us again soon. we're also on 360 video magazine #6 but they only showed us in the end goofing around.

as far as our obsession with drifting (hehehe!), its just the pure fun of it. sliding around turns going 40 mph and faster is a rush! i've honestly never done anything more fun in my camaro. i used to mess around in my car but i didnt know anything about drifting. then revlimit showed me how its done and i was like 'woah!' drifting is more fun for me that dragracing because you dont have to have a fast car to have fun, you rely more on driver skill. maybe one day i'll be good so i can have some fun too!

88 IROC Z rims in the front and the backs are rally rims from the old camaros.
