Hey, new to the board and to 3rd gens and had a question. I'm buying an 86 camaro with a newly rebuilt LB9. The car has had some mods and I would like to have an idea of the 1\4 E.T. here is the list: All hydralic roller, three angle valve job, cam (don't know specs but supposed to be barely streetable) no computer, stock Q-Jet, converted to electric fan, shorty flow-tech headers, 80 series flowmaster, no cat, no ac, no smog, NWC T-5 trans, 3.08 rear. The guy was building the car for SCCA road racing and his class limit was 305 so he was trying to make it powerful for a 305. I'm hoping for at least 14.5's if properly driven. Thank you very much in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I have only owned cars with a manual trans. Just hope everything goes smoothly. The engine and trans are not in the car yet and the car was an auto.

Well, I'm not even going to bother replying about 1/4 times.
First off it's got A STOCK Q-JET and no computer. That is a big NO NO.
This will cause all kinds of damagable problems.

UH OH! What kind of problems would this cause? Lean condition-Rich condition? I plan on a Holley or having the Q-Jet modified by Quickfuel soon after I get the car together. What would be the better in your opinion? I don't know jack about carbs. Also I don't know if the Q-Jet is stock, but he didn't say it wasn't so I'm assuming it is.Thanks for the replies.

Ya, the class he was racing required the motor to be carbed. I don't know much about SCCA road racing rules and regulations, just what I was told by the guy I'm bought the car from. I'm trying to get in touch with the original owner for a complete list of mods and specs. Thanks for reply.
