I was coming home from the driving range tonight and I got in the left turn lane behind this 85-89??? Z28. This car was pretty nice looking, nice paint, tinted taillights, gutteral exhaust growl. He must've noticed me behind him because he slams it hard out of the turn and I keep up behind him. Finally, I'm cruisin at about 40 mph and I gun it and fly past him. I didn't even see him until we got to the stop light. I looked at him, he looked at me (you know the drill). The opposite yellow light goes on and we start the inching ritual. Finally, light goes green, I slam the shifter down to 1st, punch it and roar past him in a blaze of 305 glory! I kinda felt bad that I had to do that to someone with a Camaro. I only wished it could've been a punk in a dime-a-dozen Mustang. Oh well.

Sounds like you got a little something under the hood How many cars did you beat that Z by? I guess he didn't have a 350. I like that white stripe on your car by the way.

I must've beaten him by about 3 car lengths. I really don't have much under the hood, just a 305. I have nitrous but I didn't use it. I guess I got out of the hole pretty good cuz I have 4.10 gears and a bunch of other little stupid stuff. That white stripe is actually a gradient stripe that fades into a firebird logo. Check it out. I think it makes the car look a whole lot better. Thanks!

Yeah, that 4.10 will definately give the advantage off the line. You porbably only raced to like 70 tops, so you didn't even get near your top end, and he was probably starting to come back on you. I definately need new gears. I'd like to see a pic.
