Silly kids

Dumb kid in a subaru outback sport that mommy and daddy bought them tried to race me today..it was more like an @$$ kickin...i couldnt help laughin..he tried to do a ***** fly by to start..i was like hell no u dont..took it up to 50 in a 35..said im not gettin a ticket..slowed down..he passes..we meet at the next light. I brake torque it soo much waitin for the lite to change that they spin..he looks, i smile..i dust him like its my job..then he does the typical ***** fly by..i just looked at his girl sittin in the front seat and laughed at her..and just on a totally seperate note...i know it comes up a lot around here, but the fast and the furious is a hoooorrible influence. I've mentioned before that i work at sears auo center, well this kid comes in the other day and orders motegi rims w/low profile tires..17's. Im like..well..ok, maybe..so i ask what he's puttin it on..he say a 2000 cavalier. I was like, well that may look good. BUT..i go and ask, so do you have any performance mods?..he's like yea, i got my exhaust done. Im impressed, so i ask..what did you do , a cat back?.response-"naw, i just did the muffler and a tip"..i loose a lil respect, but not all. So i ask, so what color is the car?..he says "red, but next year im gettin it painted creamsicle orange like the supra in the fast and the furious"..i was just like oh, and bit my lip...damn kids these days dont appreciate nice cars...sorry..just had to rant..that was sooo typical, the only thing good was it was a 1400$ sale, and i get comission

It's the new fad I guess. Me being 17 (turn 18 in 2 weeks ) I just don't like the whole import scene. I know there are some really nice imports out there and I respect any car that is faster than my car but that doesn't mean I like any car. Sometimes kids get a little confused on how actually do you make a car fast.

Crazy2.8, its easy. Just go to a car lot and let her drive a newer 6-speed LT1 or LS1 f-body. Thats what I did with my now wife then girlfriend and she was hooked.

I dont get it either with these people in these "sport compacts." When I was little my mother called them **** boxes, and thats kinda what they still are. I had a guy the other day in a cavalier who was riding my tail in traffic, then got to a light. SUre enough he floors it, i left it in 1st hoping to enforce, tap the gas, get a car ahead of him, tap my breaks and used him as my cop bait, as he was doing well over 80 mph in the 50 zone, so i figured hed get nailed before me going 65. Another accord raced me, he floored it, ran through the gears, im looking out my window laughing at him and finally give up and he drives by yelling I won.

I overheard some kids talking about how hondas are better because they are cheaper to operate (okay, Ill give them the mileage thing) and then how they can perform better. I was tempted to start up the beast and show them what power really is. I love hearing how I must be lying because I say I can run low 14's because thats so fast. I explain to them that for imports 14's must be fast, but with real motors you arent even fast unless your into the 12's.

agreed on the "12s = fast" thing. thats my standard as well. alot of the local import kids here do nothing to their cars but bolt on turbo kits and claim they are in the twelves. its funny, but annoying at the same time. i guess going from a low16/high15 sec Civic and bolting on a turbo must make the car feel TONS quicker, so they assume its so much faster it has to be in the 12s. little do they know its not that easy. these kids should go for a ride in a REAL 12sec car to dispell some of their predictions

see my neighbor got tired of hearing this kid run his mouth about his "10 sec" mr2. his car is not total crap, runs 13.2's, but isn't "10 sec." my neighbor simply took him for a ride in his 9.9 sec challenger. i've never heard this kid claim a 10 sec ride again. the look on his face was priceless when he got out of that car....

funny
i guess right now the US vs. Them, is the ***** vs. domesetics
and it is going to stay that way because New Domesetic sports cars are $$$ (no more TAs and Z-28s) got the go for the Vette now.

hey 20 years ago it was Ford vs. Chevy (still there, but i know i rather cruise with a ford guy than a dumb ***** in a civic LX)

You know, I was thinking just yesterday, I give respect to any car that is actually fast. But, if you have a 12 sec Cavalier or Civic, it's still a Cavalier or Civic, nothing special cept for the speed. I mean I couldn't imagine bragging about either of them. That's just me.

Oh yeah, I saw this hot girl in a Civic EX today, fart pipe, and it had 16.10 written on the window. Haha

Your insurance is going to be murder, Pyschomaross...

Subaru makes an actual sports car. It's not an Outback. Chevy makes 2 sports cars, or is it more now?
Some people think I have a bad temper and some think that I have no anger at all. That's because I've cooled off over the years. But some things still get to me. Like that Cavalier Fast and the Furious thing. I probably wouldn't really do it myself, but I would love to see a movie where that same scene happens, and after that Fast and the Furious crap comes out, the other guy hauls off and knocks the **** out of him.
He'd be sitting on his *** on the floor and be like, "...it's all clear to me now...a Cavalier is not a sports car...Fart cans are not mods...Fast and the Furious is a bull**** movie...It's not real...neither are my rims...or mods...or myself..."

Yeah, I was going in and out of traffic on the freeway today with this guy in a black Ford Probe. It had a big 'Commando' wing, white 'splash' graphics and a 4" tip that stuck out at this really wierd angle. Sounded like Krap-Krispies, too.
Anyway, we got to my favorite off ramp, which is a 20mph two-lane job from the 564 to Terminal Blvd. I like to hit it a around 50. I'm behind Probe-guy in the inside lane, going past another car. I pull to the outside, grab down to 2nd and roar past him and in to the distance. As is typical, I have to stop for the next light, and the Probe catches up to me. Then I hear it: Pssht-Pshht from the dude in the probe. I figure it was a fake blow-off valve, because if it was Nitrous, I wouldn't have dusted him away from that light too. I fried up the Dunlops for a couple of seconds and probably fired a couple handfulls of road grit at him before I left.

It's one thing to think you are faster than you really are because you look/sound faster. I know I'm not as fast as I look/sound, but most of the yahoos out there think I'm way faster than I am, and it saves me a lot of trouble. Of course, I'm fast enough to hold my own against the really dumb ones.

yeah dude insurance sux! 1500 for me, but good thing i do well in school get 500 bucks knocked off now it's only 1000.... still high but 1500 would be worse!

i for some reason rented that DVD once and was watchin the story book or somethin like that... and ja rule's car was really supposed to be an impala, i guess they decided that everybody would know the impala would spank them all. to bad. they need to come out with a domestic movie like that we can call it.... "The Not Rice Burning Pieces of Trash That Dont Think 16.9's Are FAST!!!!!!!!" and we can have the dude from "Nightrider", forgot his name, star in it. and we can have General Lee, and all the other sweet cars from tv...

Here's a nice lineup for a movie...

Cars from movies:

1973 Ford Mustang Coupe (Eleanor) original
1967 Shelby GT500 (Eleanor)
1969 Dodge Charger (General Lee)
197? Pontiac Trans Am (from Smokey and the Bandit)
1968 Ford Mustang GT (Steve McQueen's car, "Bullitt)
1968 Dodge Charger R/T (Steve McQueen's pursuers in "Bullitt)
19?? Cadillac (Pink Cadillac)

That's all I can think of on that, but here would be my lineup...

1969 Oldsmobile 442, 455 Rocket
1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass, 350 Rocket
1967-70 Chevrolet Camaro, 350
1969 Chevrolet Corvette, 427-454
1965-71 Pontiac GTO, 400 D-port
197? Pontiac Trans Am, 455 Pontiac
198? Buick Gran National, 3.8 Turbo
19?? Buick GSX, 455 Buick
19?? Cadillac, 500
1972 Ford Mustang, 429 Cobra Jet
1969 Ford Mustang, 428 Cobra Jet
19?? Lincoln, 460
1971 Dodge Demon, 360 Magnum
1966 Dodge Charger Fastback, 383 Magnum
1968 Dodge Charger R/T, 440 Magnum
19?? Plymouth Roadrunner, 426 Hemi
197? AMC Javalin AMX

I think that should be sufficient...

What's CC? Well, I did have a movie idea occur to me similar to the one above. The bad guys would have the supercars, the good guys would have 2nd or 3rd rate muscle cars, and another group of racers would be a bunch of clown car drivers. The only bad thing about that little fact is that, to make that movie, you would have to make those cars. *shudders* But the muscle cars would be a cool, but expensive project. They don't make good car/truck movies. Did anyone notice that the cop doofus from Fast and the Furious was driving an F150 Lightning? And wanting "nawwzz" for his **** car?

In all actuallity, you can make a really fast go-cart compared to all the other go-carts around but you shouldn't get the idea of taking it to the local track on Friday nights....what I'm getting at is if you're really going to put time and effort into something fast, why not go all out? But, then again, if there weren't those rice-burners out there we wouldn't have anyone to laugh at, now would we?
