LOL, no respect from mustang punks

A friend of the buddy of mine that I'm building an engine for has been talkin ****. He was telling my buddy how slow vortec 350's were, which is what I'm building for this guy. He also started saying that he raced me in his stock 5.0 and 'tooled me'
I never seen this car before and I sure as hell never raced him
the trash talk had been goin on for about a month so finally i said to phone the guy and we'll race.
so we phone em up and ask if they want to race. You could hear them laughing in the background "yea man, sure I'll rape you"

great, we meet at an abandoned road, my car was runnin like crap because it was really cold and I'm still on the lean side with my tuning, so I was definatly down powerwise

anyway we line up and I tell him we're runnin a full 1/4mile. He says "nah man, not that far, I'm just gonna race until I beat ya"
I look at him for half a second and then look away, unable to control my laugher.
A spotter lines us up and we take off. the stang hung beside me for maybe a half second, I spun through first as usual, hooked up in second and raced it halfway to the finish line about where the 1/8 was and let off because I was literally 10 cars ahead.
It WAS a waste of gas.

I turn around incase he wants another run,
the guy pulls up and starts sayin how he couldn't hook up and that he want's me to wait until he gets his capri which 'beats vipers'
then he's gonna show me whats up.
LMFAO!

I told him to hurry up I can't wait

LOL, not even an *** whoopin will shut this guy up. just keeps on trash talkin.. what a dumbass.

We aren't all like that. Some of us Mustang guys like pissing off the "Mustang punks" just like you guys do.

Beleive me...i had a great time with the kid a few weeks ago who honestly beleived GT's were the only cars to get the 225HP 5.0 HO and use LX guys got a weaker 150-180HP 5.0 like in T-birds and crown vics. I had a fun time kicking his ***

PM either me or Mustang5L5 for some history, so it stays off the board.

Nice kill, obviousley kids see any thirdgen and think it is a 305! The problem is most of the losers drive Mustangs or imports and the Mustang guys get a bad reputation! I have had kids in stock Mustangs say there cars run 13s, and then after about 55-65 they realize their cars just got beat by an auto!!!

Keep teaching the stupid ones!!!

Without getting too in depth and changing the subject, the only difference is really the added ground effects on the 87-93's and different standard options that were available for the interiors. Because of that, and the lack of GFX...LX's weight a couple hundred pounds less than GT's...but came with the same drivelines and 225HP engines

Damn, Iroc, I was just joking about rx7's post. Geez. Kinda trigger happy. Kind of like Lancelot on Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail. Or Clint Eastwood on...well, any movie.
Anyway, about the post, see that is what is called the "***** Way Of Thinking". I don't call it that. This guy is simply a doofus with the fastest car he has ever owned. That doesn't mean fastest car- ever. Moron. And there is so may people like that. This may be off subject, but my brother got a Summit catalog for "Sport Compacts".

Not sure why...anyway, listen to this:

Over the Top Wings by Matrix
Nothing shouts performance like a Matrix wing- especially when its carbon fiber. *stops to laugh*

And they've got these things in all sizes.
single and double up to 55" long.

Oh that's sad. You do realize that this is relevant. If that Mustang guy had an import, he would be talking the same. And then what would he be?

I know exactly what you maen Chevy Power-

I had an 87 305 TPI/5spd (ex Players race car- striipe- very light)

And I beat 3 Mustang GT's and an Olds with a 455.
I got laughed at plenty- before the race
After people were pretty amazed

The backwards hat helps with aerodynamics

I'm desperate to take this thing to the track, I need a safe place to run my car several times and tune it properly. track=perfect
I'm no where near calgary unfortunatly

the track near me only has an event once a month and it's a huge guessing game of when it's going to be on

my old vortec 305 ate a few stang for lunch also

Oh well too late now. I'm not trigger happy, just trying to clean this place up. There is no General Topic forum on this board, so most guys like to come in here and make it the General Topic forum. That's what I'm trying to avoid by locking all these topics. Great metaphors by the way.

In the mustang guys defense though there are plenty of F-bod guys out there that are retarded too. One kid tried convincing me that his friend Camaro (A4) laid a 12 foot slab shifting fom 1st to 2nd. He told me that he measured it by walking down it. Sad thing is I think he believes himself.

I had a local Highschool boy tell me his bone stock 89 5.0 hatch LX had 500 hp and that my car couodnt even touch it....lol . I looked under the hood and it was absolutely bone stock down to the paper filter!!!!! He did have some lovely red glasspack mufflers (snicker) , anyway I toyed with him (my car runs 12.3s @111+) and he said he almost beat me..... , He never learned, he now has Flowmasters and a K&N and tells people that he has a Vortec and that when he races me again he will beat me like before....lol

You know these kids could benifit from owning an LO3 car. I mean, i know my car isn't the slowest thing out there, but i do know that its only about a low 16 car at best. With this in mind i don't go up and talk trash to cars that run 14's stock and have enough aftermarket hardware under the hood to run 10's. Some people are ignorant and all we can do is take advantage of this willful ignorance for our own personal gain. Good kill, next time get it running right and go wot the entire run, then see if the dip **** says anything.

i had some moron tell me i was stupid for doing the turbo 3.8, i should've went with a turbo 4.3 like the typhoon and cyclone, caues they produce MUCH more torque than the the 3.8

Yeah lets see a stock chevy 4.3 block last into the mid 11's consistantly aint happening...

No offense to guys with fast 305s, but the fastest one near me has a Procharger and can barely baet my dads minor bolt on LX!!! I have yet to see one go any lower than 14.8 N/A. I am not saying they are slow, but around here they are!

I have Flowmasters and I don't claim to have a racecar, but I do have a Lebanon Valley Dragway trophy for getting second place in the bracket races. There were at least 25 cars and I beat all but a GTO with a 14.80 dial!!! This was the same night I beat the Vette!

The punk 500hp image applys to all cars, my friend had a 3000GT and he thought it was AWD!!! He knew it wasn't turboed (thank ***) but he seriousely thought it was AWD. Until his cousin launched it at 5000 with the kid standing next to it!!! After that he was pissed! He thought he had the AWD car and he sayed it was 300 hp!!! he had a K&N and a wicked exhaust leak!

Isn't there a rustang board some where on the WWW, LOL. Only kiddin', the mustang dudes here are pretty damn cool. At least from all the threads I've read so far. There is a new enemy in town now, and they only have half a motor in their cars, along with s**tty looking mufflers, and wings.

Its not all mustang guys. I had a guy in a 3rd gen T/A say that since his car had more torque than mine that he could beat me off the line and stay ahead up until 140 when he ran out of gear. I didn't even bother with him until he talked too much **** and it pissed me off. From a dead stop he hung with me until I reached 2nd gear and by the time I was at 130mph he was a foot ball field behind me. But I do agree with the flowmaster and race car statement with the 5.0 guys.

From my post dont think I think every Mustang owner thinks this way, I know that this is just an ignorant kid. Whats funny is the guys he hangs around with all drive preludes and civics so obviously he has trashed all them and is king of the hill amongst his peers. But I know it isnt name brand specific either (especially amongst the rice/enemy of our hobby) For instance when I was in HS and the new 82 Firebirds came out I had a classmate tell me his 305 4 speed firebird would absolutely kill my 70 L-78 Nova...lol

Listen, dude....I was joking. Hahaha...you know funny...no offense...all in fun...? Same thing when I called you a Lock *****. It's just a joke. Hell, I've become a Post ***** myself. rx7 and Shields got me into the life.
And I think we're all "Race ******". I mean, we all stomp on things that don't have a chance just to rack up a victory. I beat the crap out of a Taurus today with the Topaz. It was an "Eggshell design" as I call it with the oval rear widow. I beat him just for the hell of it. Nothing to gain really.
Just lighten up, man. Hell, I'm an outcast everywhere I go. I'm just trying to entertain people and fit in. If I offended you, I'm sorry.

K even though this is wayyy of topic and I really dont wanna be hypocritical, but I'll comment on this.

I dont really care if there's a post on two non-thirdgens racing. I really dont mind, even though it falls under the 'no thirdgen rule'. This isn't a General forum as most of the users probably think. This board is about races about to be staged, races that have happened and questions about hp numbers, 1/4 mile times etc. about other cars that people are planning on racing. I've been asked to clean up this board because the other moderators having been doing even a half *** job keeping this place on topic. It seems harsh right now, but I hope in awhile I wont be locking so many threads.

I think Iroc22 has one of the tougher boards to moderate.

It's very easy to get off topic and end up posting non-technical threads and messages.

He's just doing his job.

anyways... whats this brown stuff on my nose?

This board is about races about to be staged, races that have happened and questions about hp numbers, 1/4 mile times etc. about other cars that people are planning on racing. I've been asked to clean up this board because the other moderators having been doing even a half *** job keeping this place on topic. It seems harsh right now, but I hope in awhile I wont be locking so many threads.
i agree with u, but why isn't there a push for a General Board, i mean i know it's been tried before but to keep things like this and things like iroc2nv's post about his 300th could be better on that board. just my $.02. maybe a way to get it done is to send out a private message to everybody askin them ya or na on the new board???

I'm going to post that Topaz vs Taurus race in detail. If it's off topic, just shut it down, whatever. It's meant to be taken with a chuckle anyway. But, I'm sure you'll notice, as far as getting something actually relevant to the 3rd gen thing...Every race I get in is going to be 50 percent less likely to be relevant. And if I'm not racing a 3rd gen...titled something like, "50th Loss Against f-bodies"...I'm not relevant at all.
But I do have an admiration for camaro/firebirds. Also a rivalry. The reason I'm here, is for that reason and I like the board. I've been to a lot and this is the best one on the internet.
So if you will be so leniant as to let us all play the game and try to entertain one another here, it would be very much appreciated. Like I said, I'm just trying to get a laugh occasionally and sometimes even help someone out with some info. I read your post above.
Anyway, like I said, I don't own one and haven't. But I may within 5 years. Who knows? I have a hook up.

I seriously doubt it. Dirk tried it before because people asked for it. The users on this site proved to be too immature for a General board back then. Dirk hasnt really changed his mind on the whole idea of a General board and thats why one hasnt shown up again. You can try and run the idea by him, but I think I know his answer.

this comes up every month...and i think the biggest two things stoping it is name calling that would start especially with the "different" camaros on this board. and bandwith, this place has over 16,000 members and while not everyone posts there still is a huge number of regulars here. there is a huge number of different forums from exaust, to cooling, to venders.
now think about it if there is a general forum. Post ****** out the ying yang.....stupid "*****" pictures poping up all the time. or people posting other pics, flags, 9/11 stuff, the guy with the sheep on top of the bike, rocket camaro and other stuff like that. and pics take up bandwith, lots of it.
iroc22 has a heck of a job here because the topic is so broad and he pisses people off because he rightfully locks alot of threads, i think more than most of the other boards combined.
but he has too.

just my 2c

So let me get this straight- Forum is called
"thoretical and street racing"

There is no descrption of what kind of car-
a race is a race or is it??

If I own 2 cars, 1 f-body and something else, car X, I cannot ever mention car X. (or post a pic)

What about the other car in the race? Does it have to be F-body?

What if I was driving car X and raced an F-body?

THere are tons of posts about other cars- only 1 or 2 whinner complain.

I like reading about races, reguardless of the cars- sometimes I even learn something

no way in hell Dirk will ever put a General Board back up here. I joined this site right when the **** hit the fan back like 3 years ago, it wasn't pretty lots of stuff said that wasn't nice and very wrong.

Though i think this board(s) can get out of hand, in both ways, with the mods going lock crazy or people just getting out of hand by being immature, no one forces anyone to come here.

I hang out at NE3G for the fun stuff, come here to read some racing stories, post a few tech questions and get a good laugh at the TBI board(sorry, I HAD to )

IMHO the aftermarket threads could be joined which opens some room, and the ECM or w/e board could go with electronics after all that is what it is.... just my opinion, i think a general discussion board would be great.... CZ28.com has quite a few members and probably the same amount of boards also....

I'll be more leniant if the the thread stays on topic, even if it isnt a race between two F-Bodies. I've had to lock a few posts that were races between two non-thirdgens because they strayed off topic. And racing videos even if they are third gens in them, are kind of questionable because this is a theoretical board. A lot of threads post on here are actually supposed to be on the Drag Racing Forum.

Hey, I personally go on what HP peolpe say their cars are, after all, who would know better than the owner? I personally drive an '88 Sunbird for a daily driver. It's a 2.0 litre, so it pushes 260 stock, but I waxed it recently, so it's push'in 325 now, easy. I think it would smoke an LT-1, as long as it's stock. LOL

I had a 94 Sunbird
loved that POS, had it for 5 years. it took me across country at least 5 or 6 times and with very limited maitenence, maybe oil every 5K. it gave me over 45,000 miles (it has around 120K now) and it is still ticking, buddy has it now as a daily.
