Ws6
Ws6
alright well today me and a friend were out just drivin around and i notice this real nice ws6 (98-02) on the road behind us. potential race always pops in my head but i look in the rearview and see its an older guy (40ish). alright so no big deal, its fun to look at anyways.
well eventually we pull to a light and we are both in the left turn lane. It finally turns green and i take off light throttle just normally goin along makin my turn and i see in my rearview that he gets in the lane beside me and he nails it. immediately im like
and i kick her down. we were DEAD EVEN the whole time!
we could only race about the 8th mile though cause we were commin up on traffic. afterwards we both had **** eatin grins on our faces and he gave the thumbs up and so did i.
that grin didnt go away for quite awhile i honestly didnt think i could hang with an ls1 yet.
and the best part is i still have my 2.73s!
maybe this 335 is gonna pay off eh?
this has been my best race so far and im proud as can be bout the maro.

Good job. My 305 could hang with my brothers LS1 until about 70, but after that it was just sad sad sad. Don't be dissapointed if the same is true for you, that motor you've got there isn't as big of a revver as the LS1.

really, my Vette kept up with an LS1 until he hit 3rd gear. once theyve shifted into 3rd its usually all over, it pulls SOO hard in 3rd he blew by me and put about 6 lengths on me. he had some mods done, but DAMN... ive never been pulled like that before

So if i go up to my friend and challenge him to a race vs his 98 TA, u tellin me i have a chance if i say like lets do a 0-60 race?
Or 0-40, cause believe me he would do it, and not really question why. But if its possible i would take that chance and get a cheap kill!
Hes got an Auto by the way.

Yep,
you may have a chance in the first 1/8th. At the last Fbody event at my local track, I went up next to many L98 thirdgens. It was a good race for a little bit. Keep in mind that an auto LS1 will hang better than a T56 in the first half of the track due to a better gearing.
Every time I race a six speed car, I get a good lead that gets smaller toward the end of the track.
I always thought of the 335 as a waste of money...IMO a built 350 would be a better choice (Im sure this has been said before). But what is done is done. Have any track times
Go over 60mph and you will be destroyed...Sorry

I think i'm gonna take that chance, but i better do it fast cause he might be selling it soon. He needs to learn how to control his actions when he drives, he already has 9 points, and he just got a license about 1 1/2 year ago.
Anyways, thats exactly what i'm saying 85transamtpi, i wouldnt dare go past 60mph on him, i know alot better than that, and i know my limits, BUT he dont. He wont have a clue why i beat him, if i do to 0-60mph, thats why its a perfect opportunity.
No so far no track times, closest track is at least and hour away, so until then i'm gonna get a G-Tech, the new one coming out, and get my times that way, and when i go to the track then i can fine tune the G-Tech to be more accurate.
Anyways thanks for info, if that race ever occurs i'll make sure i post it.
On a side not though, but this may just end my chances of even racing him, he does have 3.73 rear-end, and Flowmaster cat-back.
Now i'm probably screwed right?
