If GM ever comes out with a F5- actaully lets make it any pony/muscle car; GTO, Chevelle ect should it be RWD or AWD?
I'll cast the first vote. AWD is sacrilige IMO.
No laying patches, getting 1-4 gear rubber or doing little burnouts when you leave the light.
-AWD is totaaly wrong for the image for these cars
- raises purchase price
-decrease fuel economy
- driveline will take major abuse doing those 4k rpm launches

Unless you're looking for a good all weather car, All wheel drive is crap. It doesn't do anything but improve 0-60 times. It is heavy, it leaks a lot of power out of the drive train, it adds in some of the disadvantages of FWD while taking power from the RWD. All in all it's a bad deal, and yes it would ruin the image... plus no more donuts.

Until you've driven an AWD car you can't appreciate it. The handling is better, the launching of course is better, and as far as burnies go, 3 and 4 wheels are much more fun than 2 wheel.

I wouldn't mind having an AWD turbo Eclipse or Talon to screw around with because I think it'd be fun... but for a GM muscle car.... well, RWD practically MAKES it a muscle car... RWD all the way.

Sorry Guys, I got to go with AWD, Whole shot with a V-8 is great but you can't use all of the V-8 power because the rear tires spin. But with AWD the car just hooks and goes. Plus AWD does handle better.
