Here's why it was locked: Cuz you were dreaming when you wrote this. The dude in the Camaro wasn't trying, I'd bet my 400 dollar paycheck on it. You would be killed and by the way, I beat a Neon R/T with 150 hp and a DOHC so how can a stock Neon with auto beat a 6 cylinder?

 

2.8 camaro stock around mid 17 seconds

my car low 16's

if I can get my mods back low 15's to high 14's

when I had my turbo 12.5


I don't think the camaro would have stood a chance against me at any point

we raced a few times and everytime I take off unless we are in high temps

You didn't say that, That's what the one assclown in the other post said. People always put down 6 cyl Camaro's, I am running mid 15's actually a 15.55 to be exact.

 

He was replying to me, i said that I beat a v6 3rd gen in your locked post.

I know he was trying 'cause he was trying to get over and thought that a neon would be easy to get around. We were even for the width of the intersection (until the rpms started to build) then I started to get ahead of him. once ahead, I heard him get off it and he then moved over a couple lanes and got of the road. I don't take any satisfation in that win because
a) anything a stock A/T neon can beat is pathetic.
b) This was in Flint, where at least 75% of all cars there should be either scrapped or in need of major work.

I was only using this as an example that the RX7 could easily win

and now that I have a little more income comming in I should be a lot faster

as far as your 15.55 run where is the timeslip as well as the mods ou have put on your car?

 

My Shadow is stock and the guy that I bought it off of ran a 15.79 at the track, I believe him because I seen the time slip and I am friends with him.
Mods on my Camaro are: Hypertech Powerchip, Dynomax catback exhuast, Hooker 60 Headers, Crane Competition Racing Cam. Performance Valves, Lifters. And performance pistions

what brand pistons, what would it raise your compression to?

what valves, honestly I bet that just by replacing he valves you are not going to make much

who makes the lifters and what ratio are they

what are the specs on the cam

 

Ask the dude that rebuilt my engine. He said he put all performance stuff in, I paid 1800.00 for it and it goes HELLA lot faster

and being he built the motor for you didn't you get a bill that had exactly what you bought

if it was me I would have asked for that this way I would know what parts I have

actually if it was me I would have asked for specific parts myself rather then let him pick

also what mph did you run the 15.55 at as well as the 15.79?

 

15.55 I ran 92 mph and the 15.79 I believe the slip said 88 mph

 

well I would kindly ask of you to get the build sheet or the name and phone number of the guy who built your motor

I am willing to call him up myself

 

have you also ever taken the shadow to the track yourself?

 

I only did once and got a 15.62 but I think something was wacky that day

you claim a 15.1 there for your camaro
but here you claim a slower speed of 15.55 for your time

also as far as mods you didn't claim the lifters in there but you do here. you didn't claim the performance pullies on this post.. now granted it might have slipped but still you shouldn't forgot something simple like that

you also claim that your time of 15.79 was ran by the prev owner

yet you have run a 15.9 in your shadow according to the post I brought up above

but here you claim to have run a 15.62

sorry to turn this thread that started out into curiousity as to why a post of mine was locked when it fit the req of posting here.

instead it turned into a little bit of a flame war and that wasn't what I tried to do. but having camaro_1986_19 come off saying right off the bat that I was dreaming wasn't a kind start on his end

in the long run though between this post and his other post being put together all of you can see the B.S. as you can tell by the times he was staying on this post. then with my last comment about how things didn't add up he stuck around for about another 20 min or so then just left without giving a reply

I even offered to call the person who built his motor to get what was put in there... he flat out ignored the question.

his times do not add up and yet he has nothing to say at this point.

I feel sorry for those around him with his tall tales and his verbal attacks he likes to give without having any facts to base his arguement on. and I feel sorry to the f-body and domestic world for him b/c it is ppl like him who give you guys a bad name.

If those are track times, then a 92mph run should be faster than 15.55.

 

If I payed $1800 and only ran 15's I'd push my car off a cliff.

with a trap of 92, you should be running 15.0-14.8. Not 15.55. And don't tell me you spun really bad...
