Got into a race with a new thunderbird

Raced one of the new thunderbirds tonight. He seemed pretty quick in first gear, we were pretty much side by side, but when I heard it chirp into second it seemed like that was his weak spot. I shot right by him leaving him. We raced twice, first time from about a 10mph roll, and the second time from a stop light. Like I said, it seemed pretty strong in first gear, but when he hit second, it was just all over with. He was really cool though, he was an older guy and when we slowed down for the next stop light, he just nodded his head and said nice car. Great sport.

That's what I thought. That is why he caught me by surprise the first time. We pulled out from a stop light, but you had to make a hard left onto the other road. Once we made the left turn and hit the straight he laid into it, so I kinda had a delayed start on that one. I should have known though, because I saw him checkin out my car at the light. Just figured he use to have a third gen or somethin. But yah, like I said, he was really cool about it. When we slowed down for the next stop light before he made his turn off, he nodded his head to me and yelled nice car out the window. This guy was probably in his late 40's or so. I just wish I could get someone in a new vette like that. Since really the only people you see drivin new vette's (most of the time) are around the same age. I just want to race one. Just to see how fast they are. I know I would probably loose, but it would be fun.
