this guy in a v6 eclipse wants to race me. he has a cai, and a magnaflow muffler. help me wit my launch i have an auto. should i shift manually? is that bad for the trans? o and his car is auto to, actaully it's sportronic but sportonic is a piece of ****. it feels like it goes slower. lol

 

Just put it in 1st and hold the brake down and give it just a little bit of gas at the same time, just enough to take the slack out of the drivetrain and body. And hopefully you'll know you're car and tires well enough to keep them just on the verge of breaking loose but not quite. Just remember, tire spin is only slowing you down.
