No no no, not a limo, that's not the ultimate sleeper. That title belongs to a Hearse, can you imagine an old 70's Caddy with a Supercharger 500 Caddy running Nitrous.

That would be weird but still pretty freakin' cool

Later, Garrett

That would be great to have some souped up limo and be able to smoke people with ten friends riding with you. The only thing that would be cooler than that would be a 10 second trash truck. lol

Ultimate sleeper. 75 to 77 caddy fletwood brougm with 640 Aries. The car is long enough to run dual 3 inch with 2 mufflers per side to make it cadillac quiet. some kind of wimpy color like biege or light brown and shiny gold hub caps.

i have always wanted to build up an old hearse, that would be mint. about 3 years ago, there was an old 78 caddy hearse for sale in the local paper. my friends and i almost bought it. i still regret not getting it to this day. just imagine the looks you would get in a hearse that runs low 13s or 12s...or better.bwahhaha

Yea the Hearse idea has gone through my head a good many time. The cool thing is that the 60's and 70's Caddy's had Big Blocks in them and those things are easy to get into the 13's (500 c.i.d. is a great advantage even though it weighs 4500 pounds).

By the way darbleinad your Avatar is cool.

Later, Garrett

Theres a fast Lincoln limo around here that runs at the local track (Capitol Raceway Crofton, MD) every now and then. It's black with flames and i've been told it has a supercharged Ford Racing 514 crate motor. One of the local limo companies owns it.

one time last year a tow truck tried racing me and the funny part was that he was towing a car at the time. needless to say, i beat him pretty bad, but it was still one of the hardest times i laughed.

A hearse would be a great sleeper. There is a hearse in someone's yar daround here that is done up like a SS Chevelle, like a 68 or so. It is just rotting away, I'm going to ask the guy about it.

lets see my embarising loss would have to be when i raced a jeep grand cheroke but it was the 8 cyl and he had the 4 WD on so is that something to feel bad about? (in my 89 t/a 305 TBI and a craped out tranny):lala:

Ever put a 4X4 through the gears in 4 Low? Nutso. Works great with an automatic 'cause you have to shift lots and quick. Turns your 3.23 rear into a 4.88 or so - plus both F&R axles driving.

I'd say you did pretty good since with the 3.73's they run most V8's can run 16.0 flat. If it was the 5.9 Jeep, they can run 14's with just a CAI.

Speaking of wagons...

I had a Toyota Corona wagon, 20R engine, 5-spd, crane cam, header, Weber carb etc. I was hauling a small fridge in the back one day and ended up racing a V6 Fiero up through 3rd gear. Every time I'd bang a gear I jumped a few feet on him and I ended up a couple cars ahead.

We stop at the next set of lights and I can read the passenger's lips: "Hey, he's got a fridge in the back!"

Losing to a Limo would have been tight, if a hot chick popped out the top, and flashed her ****. But since we all know that didn't happen, I'de continue hiding under that rock you been under. Haha. Just kiddin. :lala:

Did you go up against a '70 caddy! '70 caddys were powered by a 500ci motor that was rated at 400 hp and 550 ftlbs ( if any body wants to argue the fact, I've got a chilton manual right here in front of me, so do your research first please).

Those are gross HP and Torque ratings, you can likely derate those figures down to about 330 HP, 430 Ft-lb. In a car weighing what, 4400 lb with a 2.73 rear end?

About as fast as a warmed over Chev 1/2 ton with a camper on the back.

Apparently you have never had the pleasure of rideing in a 70' caddi with the 500. My friends dad has one sitting in his backyard, and on special occasions we take it out and burn a little rubber. But honestly that thing is pretty quick. We put a flowmaster on it with 3" pipe and that gave it enough to shut down about 99% of the ricers around here.

Tracker vs. Mail Truck

My buddy use to have a Geo Tracker with Dual GlassPacks, HomeMade Cold Air Intake, Standard Tranny and Cut Flywheel <<< dunno what that was about, well anyways it felt as though it had some ***** but it had nothing at all, everytime he would shift gears it would bark the tires up to 3rd, and once a little AM General Mail Truck raced him and beat him bad!!! but I think the most embarassing race had to have been a guy who was delivering pizza for Domino's and reved up at him in a Woody looking Dodge Caravan, and older one, and the guy gave my friend and head start and still took him by about 4 cars, then from a dead stop the Tracker got a jump to about 15mph and after that it was all Minivan!!...well....laters....AARON :lala:

I wouldn't bash skat37 too much - I saw a big rig run 15.3 at the track, so ya never know!
