On my way home tonight I spotted what appeared to be an older fox body coming up pretty quickly in my rear view. I slow down to give it time to catch up, and sure enough...85-86 5.0 coupe. "This ought to be a good one" I'm thinking as we cruise beside eachother onto the on-ramp getting on 95. At the top of the ramp, I punched it so evidently he got the message. After we'd settled back down to a 60 mph cruise we're side by side again. I could hear his exhaust backfiring when he let off, so I know he at least had an offroad pipe and a cat back. He looks over and nails it, so I downshift and...see ya! Pull a half a car in 2nd, then hit 3d and I was gone. After I let off he got back beside me and gave me a honk and a thumbs up with a really big grin on his face. :lala:

 

Boy Nic, you need to head over here to CT!!! It sounds like you never have any good runs out there. There are tons of low 12 or better cars out here racing, maybe you need to head out this way, I could get you some races!

 

Would be nice to get a good run every now and then. I don't know why...none of the fast guys ever drive their cars on the street around here

 

Cause they're scared of that bad black coupe. You could race me if I lived closer. Of course you'd walk me like a dog but hey it's all in fun.

 

The thing is...it's not THAT fast. There's plenty of guys in our club with faster cars. I just don't get why we seem to be the only ones running around town with 12 second and faster street cars
