91 rs 5.0 ecm

Will a 91 rs 5.0 tbi ecm work in my 89 firebird? was a 2.8 mpi, swapped to a 5.0 tbi

As long as the TBI harness was also swapped in it should work. An '89 Firebird should also have VATs, as the '91 ECM will require it.

Thanks. I did swap the tbi harnesse. Yes the 89 does have vats so did the 91 I got the ecm from. The harness is from a 88 camaro tbi without vats. Shouldn't matter tho should it?

If the ECM doesn't get the VATs signal it won't fire the injectors...
