Well I went out tonight.I went with my buddy.He has an escort station wagon.But we ran that to.

We where sitting on the end of main street at a small diner talking to this girl I like.I looked over and notice a new black stang with nice exhaust on it.I also saw a monster tach with a shift lite.In it.He had some summit sticker on the little back windows.We got done talking to the girl.And went down to the other end of main street.This is where everyone parks and talks to each other.I notice the mustang and my buddies 69 camaro.He's got a 396 in it with th400.It is quick.He's the kid in town with all the fastest cars.He's had all kind of toys ranging from a new mustang cobra.(it was a 2000)to a Nova with a straight axle under the front end.(it looked like crap but it was quick)Anyway there was also a nova and a new trans am ram air sitting there.While my freind was talking to his ***** buddies.I will tell you about them later.I started to the guy with the camaro.He said the mustang had an x pipe on the exhaust,headers and 150 shot of nitrous.He said they where planning on runnin.We sat around and talked for a while.Then they decided to run right then.


I live on a service road it pulls out onto an highway.There is a bridge exactly a 1/4 mile down from the entrance/exit of my road.We all got out of our cars and the nova pulled up along side off them.They pulled next to each other.The Camaro has a pretty high stall convertor.He revved it up.The nova flashed his headlights three times.And they where gone.The Camaro pulled him pretty hard at first but the stang was catching up.It was so close they ran again.The mustang driver said he missed a shift.So the same thing.Nova flashes his lights.Bam they take off.This time the mustang runs good.And gets him by a car.That was it they where done.We went back on main street.On the way there I see a red trans am and a white camaro.Both 4 th gens pull out onto another highway.I tell my buddy to follow them real quick.SUre enough they pull off the road in fron of a light.We pull into the steak and shake that is right in front of the light.The light turns red and they jump out onto the road.it takes a while because it is a 4 way stop and all kinds of stuff.But they knew they where about to go.The Camaro sounded real good.THe trans am was stock I believe.The light turns green and the camaro spun real bad.The T/a pulled away but the camaro quickly realed him in.The camaro was a 93 I believe.



Anyway about the ***** kid.I went into wal mart to buy some soda and viena sausages.(I buy a them every friday to get me through the week.I love them things)Anyway I was with my buddy again.And this kid that goes to my freinds school walks up to us.And starts talking.We told them we had to put and altenator on my truck before we hit main street.Anyway the kid says wow I love putting on altenators.I will help.Well being the nice guy I am I figured what would it hurt.So I get my stuff and walk out into the parking lot.THe kid gets in a riced out 96 eclipse.I about crapped my self when he started it up.loudest fart pipe I have ever heard.So we head over to autozone.It is basicly straight across from wal-mart.I go get my altenator and come out of the store.The kid is now talking to an autozone employee about street racing.The Autozone guy has a really nice datson 280z.I don't know anything about them.He said he just ordered a nitrous kit for it.He wasn't sure who made it.And the ***** kid was like yeah fast and the furouis 2 is coming out and nitrous express is sponsoring it.They are totally gonna **** that movie up"(I won't write what he really said.So we leave there and of course we catch a light with the kid.Keep in mind his eclipse is totally stock except a fart pipe.it is the cylinder one.My buddies escort has a 1.9 in it.The head is milled .030.I gasket matched the intake gasket and the intake and the head.(there is a word for it but my mind is blankI think it is called matched porting)It is a 5 speed to.We just replaced the clutch not to long ago.He doesn't have a fart pipe on it or anything.It runs real stong for a 4 cylinder.


So the light turns green.Right from the start my buddy has him.We let off at 65.(the speed limit is 45)We had him by 4 cars lenghts by then.We got to my house and opened the hood of my truck.I opened the garage door up.There is my dad's 69 camaro on a rotiserry on one side and 78 jeep cj-5 that my dad is restoring on the other side.There is a 350 block sitting on an engine stand right inbetween them.I was working on my truck so i didn't hear him.My buddy told me he asked if the block was a 6 or 8 cylinder.My freind told him to count the holes.He than began to count the holes the lifters go it."Holy crap it's a 16 cylinder!"My buddy said no man.And counted the cylinders.It is a v8."It is a vortec 350 out of that tahoe in the driveway"Wow it is a vortec."Those are awesome.They came in old camaro's and stuff right."I started laughing.I didn't say anything and went back to work.


I swear they need to make automotive a standard class in school.Just like math!.I am not even going to tell you about the stereo install job.I saw tonight.Or how about a bunch of kids called a car load of people some choice words.And I almost got in fight with some pretty big guys.Luckily I knew one of them.We got out of that place right then.


Oh well it has been a pretty cool night for me.
