Who will win

Same old question that has been posted hundreds of times. I am pretty sure of the outcome, but I would liek some other input on this.

The cars are:
My freinds 1990 Turbo Grand Prix, only has exhaust right now.

Vs.

1991 Lumina 2 dr. EuroSport, with "SS" decals on the doors
He has a fart can, paste on hood vents, neons, possibly an intake, and quite possibly a 40-75 shot of NAAAAWWWWSSSS.

The Lumina puts out so much ground pounding power, that it has a huge aluminum wing, and he also has the stock spoiler to provide even more downforce on the FWD car.

My freind does not really want to race him until he gets his chip that works miracles for the TGP. I know that he will probally beat the Lumina, but what do you guys think.

Transmission: A 700R4 that has trouble handling the formentioned 350.
Yea I say a GTP takes a fake SS Lumina just about any day of the week (well maybe not on Monday, you just never know with Monday's).

When I first read this I thought you were talking about a Lumina Van .

Later, Garrett

Luminas have some pick up for the type of car they are, but I don't see it beating a turbo Grand Prix. But if that Lumina has nitrous I think it might be a different story.

The TGP has ~210 hp and ~215 ft/lbs toruqe, might be off by 5-10 on the hp. Magazines clocked them at 0-60 in 7 to 7.3 flat, and low 15's on the 1/4. The Lumina at most would be pushing 145-150 hp and 180 or so torque. I think even spraying, which would not last very long on his stock 3.1, would not help him overcome that big a difference, that is just what I am thinking.

Also with the chip alone, he would drop into 14's, I do not know exact, but definite mids, because so freak cars, hit high 13's with chip alone.

I didn't realize a '92 would be that quick.

That Lumina is toast, I G-Teched my mom's Lumina once and ran like a high 16 iirc.
