I was just wondering how fast a 94-95 eagle talon would be. It is manual, has straigh exhaust ( no cat ), a header and thats it. It is NOT AWD but is the crappy FWD--- and has NO turbo. so what would this car run? theis kid wants to race me in it

the non turbos are not that fast, my guess in the lows 16s to high 15s.. you have a good chance to beat him..

well, his L03 isn't exactly a powerplant, if the DSM is capable of 15s, then I'd say it's a driver's race. Eventhough I think the L03 is going to be low 16s at best

Non-turbo DSM were a dog. The manual that year put out like less than 110 hp. Even with exhaust and headers, that might push it to 125 if he is lucky. I would say his car is more as capable of mid 16's. You should smoke him pretty bad. And why would he not just sell that Talon and pick a TSi or a GS-X, hell of a lot cheaper than dropping on a turbo. The parts and labor is going to be expensive as hell I bet.

Umm...the non-turno dsm's were making 140 hp...they shared the same motor with the 4 cyl. Hyundai Sonata's of the same year.

ok the firstgen DSM N/A sucked bad

slow as all get out

second gen N/A DSM I guess are prolly going to be a little faster

I ran one on the freeway once from about 65mph on

should of had it in 3rd gear NOT 4th like I did and I still walked the guy fairly easily

as far as launching from the street I prolly still would have taken him though the race I think might have been a little close at that point... being I can't launch my car very well.... 2.4 second short time with lots of tire spin

I would guess mid to high 16's if not a little higher
