buick vs t/a

85 z28 305 lg4. mods: headers, freeflow converter, flowmaster, 2 1/2" pipeing, custom cai. against a 1989 buick LaSabre 2 door. i dont no if its a t type or not but it look just like the one in the pic. he says he has mods. am i gunna win or do i need some more mods?

I would think you would take it. If it was a Regal or a GN then you would lose, but otherwise you should have no problem.

Yes, that is a Lesabre T-type, but they don't really back up their name. I think you should take him!

My brother owns a T-type, its almost got 300,000km on it and I think its pretty quick still for its age, original motor also.
It can be peppy when it feels like it...
its a beautiful car...

Oh yah by the way, they eat 305 LG4`s with ease..
but the LO3 is a good match for it
with my new motor thou it was not a problem...

well stock for stock the T-type wins.. no questions asked..

Lesabre T-type 165hp, and it weights less than our F-bodies and also weights less than a GTP.

Firebird 305 LG4 150-155hp.. lets say with ur mods your up to 160-180?

it would be a pretty good race, if his car is healthy and he knows how to drive it.. he might win, who knows, I just know a lot of T-type guys brag that 305`s are nothing and they even take on 350`s, but not stock, just when they have made small mods to there cars.

k well i no i gotta do some mods still before i race him now. get a new intake and carb maby nos then take him. thanks for the info.

well if u consider from that Camaro video when they tested the Prototype 5.7LIter IROC it was 6.2 0-60 so like and thats a much more powerful engine.
