out of an 84 Monte Carlo ss or an 84 camaro both stock?

 

If the Camaro has an LG4 then the Monte will school it. But if the Camaro has an L69, then the win is going to the Camaro.

 

the monte carlos had an L69 in them what makes the difference's? weight? and tires? both of them being stock?

 

The Monte Carlos are heavier, but I think they came with better gears stock from the factory. If both cars had the L69, then it would come down to the gears. If the Camaro is an LG4, then it is all Monte.

the monte's L69 had 10 less hp than the camaros l69. the monte had 3.73 gears stock, but i believe in 84 it still had a 3 spd auto tranny. if the camaro has the L69 and a 5 spd, itll win. if it has the LG4 and a 5 spd, monte by a little. if it has the LG4 and auto, monty will win. if it has the LU5, the monte will win.

 

Some more info is needed about the actual race. Stoplight to stoplight, highway, drag, that sort of thing. Depending on which stock options each car has, all these outcomes would be different.

last summer i beat a 1984 ss from a light had him pretty bad probally 3 cars by the next light... and all i have pretty much is gears...





PS- his car was stock except exhaust.. i was talking to the guy at the strip one day.
