some people just dont give up!
yesterday i was out makeing a movie of my car doin burn outs and powerslids and what not and as i was doin this there was the car hidden in the back i did not see. so when i stop the car and get out to look at the tracks i made he starts revving his engine real hard (fart tip) then burns out the parking lot. it was a older eagle talon, so i am still sittin there lookin at the movie then he comes back and wates for me to leave. so as i go he burns ahead of me on the road (2 lane no cars) and sits there and wates for me revin his engine. there was no why i was gunna race him from a stop, for one i bog if i hit the gas from a stop and 2 a have a lc1 so i go past him really slow hope he will race from a roll. and he does nothing. so i just keep goin. for 20 min he stayed behind me revin his engine. man i could have killed him. i am sure he would have killed me in a race those, and i was not ready to take that pain LOL. so i will just wate till summer and oh and i had 2 hot girls in the car (i would have looked so stupid) i look forword to running him with my modded 350
. are those talon fast?? could a 350 with heads cai and catback take those?
. are those talon fast?? could a 350 with heads cai and catback take those? It sounds like he had the non-turbo FWD Talon. Did you here a wastegate when he revved. If he was not turboed and obviousely noe AWD you should take it no problem. A stock Turbo AWD one will run a high 14 low 15, can you imagine a non-turbo FWD car!!!

The only exception (and it's not really an exception, because it's not in neutral) that I'm aware of is in automatic transmission cars, as they are able to brake-torque at the line and build boost that way. Also, Technomotive offers a "stutterbox" mod for the ECU that allows DSM's to build boost at the line, but it sounds like the world is coming to an end when they start doing this, and you would definitely know that something crazy was about to happen.
The only time that you can hear a turbo is when the car is accelerating under boost or an auto-equipped car is brake-torqueing at the line. The only time that you should hear the blow-off valve is between shifts or when the driver suddenly takes his foot off of the accelerator.
Hope this helps in your identification...

There was one at the track last night running consistent 12.2's. I really have no idea what he had done, but I thought it was pretty impressive...so I suppose my post is useless. My friend actually has a non-turbo talon that's turd slow...useless...nevemind
