3-way race tonight:

So we're have a 3-way f-body race tonight. Here's the cars:

*1991 Camaro RS*
305 TPI
5-spd
Aussie Iroc rear-end
Edelbrock runners, baseplate, and runners, all ported
MSD 6A
MSD BlasterGM coil
mild suspension work
Full Header-back exaust

*1990 Camaro RS*
LT1 Crate motor
LT4 hotcam
fully machined and worked heads
(almost)full pulley delete, only main crank and altenator
Weiand Hi-rise intake
Demon 750(dont remember which one)
MSD 6AL and controller
Mustang Cobra transmission with short-throw
Richmond 4.10 gears
full suspension work
(more but I cant remember)

*1994 Camaro Z28*
Supposedy a "stock" LT4 - too bad the Z28 never came with a LT4, but it could of been swapped.

So, this is how I think it will end up: Obviously the 1990 first, but I'm not sure about the 91 and the 94, any one have opinions?

Plus, I'll have a video up sometime this week.

I think it will go 1990, 1994, 1991 IMO. I don't know if those mods on a Z28 will put it in the 13s which is what a stock Z28 should run!

The 4th gen Camaro did come with a LT4, just not sure what year's and I think it might of been the SS only.

I would rank it the 1990 then 1994 then the 1991. Cant wait to see the races.

Hmm, that sounds like a good race. Are the 90 and 94 autos or manuals?

I think the little 91 305 could down a stock/near stock auto LT1 quite possibly. But who knows what all it really has since it supposedly has a LT4 (I think there were only 100 LT4 cars made, and it was not 94. Maybe 96, but I believe it was 97. But I forget...)

The LT4 only came in the SS, Firehawk, and Corvette.

The 1990 and 1991 are manual, the 94 is auto. I think the guy with the 1994 is BSing, because he says the car is completely stock. But, I'm thinking it will be 90, 94, and 91, also.

Nope, only difference is internally. The lt4 has a hotter cam and better flowing heads. I say the 90, 94, then the 91 in that order.

All LT4's had red intakes, making them easy to spot from the LT1. SLP made around 100 SS LT4's in '97 and a handful of LT4 Firehawks.

I agree with everyone else, '90, '94 then the '91. That '90 RS sounds like a pretty sweet car.

Yes, SLP made 100 LT4 "SS" cars in 1997 to celebrate the 30th Anniversary. Price: $41,500.

LT4's also came wth iron heads, as to the LT1's aluminum heads, im pretty sure.

Well, this is what happened with the races. The kid with the 94 never showed up, and wouldnt pick up his cell, go figure. The night before, my buddy with the 90 ended up laying his bike down at 60mph, while he was riding the handlebars. So hopefully this will take place next weekend. I did get some random video of the 90 and 91 though, which I'll have up later this week. I'll let you know wht happens next weekend.

Sorry!

lol US27 is where he bailed. I live in Hollywood, just north of Miami.

I'd have to say the race meetings did die down though, so did some tracks. Powerhouse, Redline, US27..... they're all closed down now. Need to go ride out one day and find some more tracks.

I very much highly doubt the lt4s had iron heads. Why would they downgrade from aluminum to iron?

LT4's most DEFINITELY have aluminum heads. I have a set on my car, I would know.
