Close one...

Went out street racing lastnight, was pretty boring for the most part. However, there was only one race and I was in it. Well this guy I know has a '91 Firebird, 350TBI, full true dual exhaust, Sportsman Pro's on the back, with littles on the front, with a riveted on cowl. It looks pretty gay. Two weeks ago we raced from about a 15mph roll and I had him by two cars in the middle of second gear.(We caught each other at a light.) Anyway he's launchin with a 3200stall so he's gonna kill me off the line, but, his brother said he'd give me a car and the jump. He runs 13.9 on the motor and 12.40 on the bottle for the record. My time is in sig. However unlike a lot of guys that go up street racing I'm not afraid to lose, I'll race almost anyone. So he gives me a car and we're off. I started raping him really bad. He didn't reel me like he thought he would. Suddenly I hear his motor rev real high and he starts reelin me freakin quick. Yeah he hit the nitrous like he said he wouldn't. He maybe had me by a fender at the end, but, it was close. Oh well, if you got it, use it...but, next weekend I'm gonna get him to come to the track and race me on motor. I think it will be closer this time, my HSR will be in Mon or Tues...

Most of the time when I run into cars that would be fun to race I am in my truck.

When I am in my car I get picked on by Mustangs and F-bodies, and the occasional imports. I have yet to loose when racing my car. I really wish I would race against a car that I knew the capabilities of. That way I can guage how well my car is really doing.

Not much really. Just SLP CAI, MSD 6AL, MSD Blaster 2 coil, recent tune up. Advanced timing. The car came with a 3" catback exhuast on it.

My car has always performed better than your average 305. I have no idea why. Even before I started modding the thing.
