1988 Iroc-Z vs 1989 Ford Thunderbird

HI,

I was wondering who would win? a 1988 Iroc-Z 305TPI, 5spd or a 1989 Ford Thunderbird 6 Banger, Auto?

Also this kid is talking crappy how his older Ford Aerostar Van would kick my ***... haha

ive got an 85 T-bird (my first beater) it is SOOOO SLOW, you will punish him badly id say. Mine runs fine and it sucks,my friend raced my in his Z28, like 82-83 with crossfire injection, and he beats me bad.

I figure he may have a chance with a 12 car-length lead from the start.

Friend of mine had an '89 SUper COupe. It ran 15.1 @ 91 MPH at the track.

What does an '88 305 IROC run?

'89 thunderbird SC:

3.8L supercharged V6
210 HP
315 Ft./lbs. torque

a 5-spd can run a 15.1 1/4 mile. the car weighs almost 4000 lbs.

Buddy at work used to have a 89 or 90 ish SC with an auto when I had my 85 IROC with the 215hp 305 TPI. No way in hell was it anywhere near a 15.1, maybe something was wrong with it but I don't think so, seemed nice running. I destroyed it by buslengths, no exaggeration.

the auto SC's were in the 15.7-15.9 range. 5-spds shaved off .8 seconds.
