well this is my 5th total race with my bird this summer but only my second from a dead stop. my friend has a 91 lumina with the 3.1 in it (pretty nice car) and he seen my car and he kept nagging me to race so today we went up to a local back road in my area and lined them up. i stalled my car to about 1500rpm at the line. from the dead start he got a nose in front fo me until i got about 3/4 through first gear then i pulled slowly on him and i shifted to 2nd at 5500rpm and kept pulling slower and by 75-80 he was about a car to 1 1/2 cars behind me. it was a pretty good race but i need to do something about picking up my lower end hp. what do 91 luminas with the 3.1 usally run?

 

Was this a 2 or 4 door? 2 Door models with the 3.1 will probably run 17.0-17.3 and 4 doors a few tenths slower. I think they have 150-155 hp.
