Funny story

Well I was driving home tonight and at a stop light a 98 or so z28 pulls up next to me it had a decent little rumble and I look over and there is a girl driving it . She revs it at me, and so I say what the hell, and I rev back. The light turns green and I take off, she almost stalls and finally takes off as well around 40 she catches up and passes me and then she shifts gears and it looks like she hit a break wall, I then pull on her about a car and a half I let off around 60 and I had her, her headlight was probably at my door. At the next light she says " man what do you have in that thing this is my boyfriends car and hes never been beet in it",I just laughed and said "yeah He probably never has" , I know I shouldnt have won but thats what makes this story so funny.

I dont know , she would have probably been shifting into second because if she wasnt then that would mean she was shifting at really low RPMs out of second. I said it was somewhere around forty when she caught up and then shifted, but it could have been around 30 because my speedo is a little off. Who knows? all I know is that she shouldnt have been behind the wheel of a Z.

She hit 1-2-5. Third gear pull and you would have been beat if she was already ahead before she hit the wall in 5th. Anything can happen on the streets. Good run.

That is funny. You would think she could feel that instant bog and know she missed it. But I've seen guy at the track in his heavily modded LT1 Z, who I thought was very experienced, light his tires up off the line then shift to second only going about 15mph. He ran a 14.xx at 114mph. When he came back around he was complaining that his clutch was slipping off the line. I guess he didn't notice the billowing smoke comming off his tires.

Better than billowing smoke coming off the clutch eh?
