The Trans Am is mostly stock. The mods I have done are as follows.

-Crane Aluminum Roller Rockers
-Ported Plenum
-Throttle body bypass
-160 degree thermostat
-MSD 6AL
-Bosch Platinum +4
-Lakewood LCA
-BMR Strut Tower Brace
-GW Steering box brace
-Tires are BFgoodrich KDWS rear 275/40-17 on ROH snyper wheels

I think that's everything I need o make myself a list as I always leave something out. I am open to suggestions on what anyone thinks I should do next. I am currently in the process of polishing the TPI to a show finish and a BMR panhard bar and LCA relocation brackets are in the mail as is a KN airfilter from summit. At night I dream about a 383 and a T56.

Bosh +4s are too hot for these motors. they might get you that jump off the line, but they're slowly destroying the pistons.

Yep dump the bosch junk, get some cheap NGKs and increase performance.

As long as we're dumping stuff, get rid of the MSD and the Al rockers.

Then buy a set of decent heads with that money.

Would the head and cam on the 305 be worth it or should I make the jump to a 350 or a 383 first.

Well, changing the cam on a SBC in car generally involves at least loosening the oil pan, and getting it to seal again is a huge pain, so I wouldn't mess with that. However, a good set of heads is a pretty easy swap to do as long as you have a week or so to pull it off. Best part about heads is they're interchangable from engine to engine. As soon as someone reads this they'll say 64 cc heads won't work on a 305. Then I'll say yes, you'll loose a little less than 1 point of compression, and everyone knows that compression doesn't effect HP nearly as much as flow does. Bumping the timing another 5 degrees and running 87 octane goes a long way to helping that out. The only thing to look out for is a 1.94 intake valve is as big as you can go until you chamfer the top of the bore, and then you still run into shrouding issues. If you want the cam to work better, set up the heads for more lift and use 1.6 rockers. That pig will absolutely come to life. You have to crank up the FP or burn another prom so you don't lean out. Changine spark plugs is good for 5 or 6 HP. If you really want to go fast you've got to improve the flow.

In the mean time, you can build up a nasty little short block.
