First Kill

Well my 6 banger got her first true win today.

Pulled up next to some ri**, he gunned his engine and well it sounded like a lawnmower on crack.
so I figured I would break my tradition of nonracing and go for a run.
Both took off, pretty even through 1st and 2nd, I started to pull ahead going into 3rd, but as soon as I droped it into 4th I pulled ahead for a like 5 carlength victory.

That was the good news, THe bad news is I dont think my bird likes going that fast/that soon. Its been running like **** ever since.

Im thinking of changing the name to "The Penguin"

Right on man! Well, I know what you mean. I have a habit of kickin' the crap out of my 5 speed 2.3 ltr '93 2 door Topaz winter beater. I keep telling myself I gotta take it easy but, for instance the other day, a dude in a '94 or '5ish Grand Am was riding my kulo and then tried to overtake me from a stoplight (I'm sure he had the 4 banger auto). Well, I wasn't having any of that (lol). I let him pounce off the line then I hit it after he got a car length on me and I had him by a fender at the quarter or so. Talk about ghetto, but I never wound up that sucker to 5500 rpm before LOL. Temp guage was hot for 1/2 later, there was a burning clutch smell, and I tore a seam across the muffler......but hey, it felt sooooooooooo good!LOL

I dunno if I'd be willing to sacrifice my car for a win... Especialy if I ended up losing in the process, man that would feel terrible.
