I did a little research and this is what I found out. Stock Dodge Stratus R/Ts run low to mid 15 second quartermiles. The automatic (some have the "autostick" option) cars run about a second slower. They weigh a little less than 3000 lbs. A 3.0L DOHC V6 was available and the front wheel hp numbers are around 160 with 180 lb ft. of torque. Aftermarket parts for these cars are limited, but the usual bolt-ons are available (cold air intakes, headers, chips, etc.). Vortech makes a supercharger for these motors and it's an easy 230 whp with that blower. Do as much research as you can on this car you're going to run.

my bro had a 2001 stratus R/T 5-speed, every option. it ran 15.5 w/ cold air and 15.7 stock. he dumped it and got a 2004 neon SRT-4.

Keep in mind it's the same motor in the Eclipse GT.

Mid 15's out of the 5-speed model which can take out quite a few LO3's and LG4's..

I agree with the 300M. Thats a nice a SS ride. I wouldn't mind one for day to day driving. In Mexico they make the Stratus in turbo form atop a 2.4L. They are faster than the R/T Stratus's with the V6. I ran into one on the freeway(I live near the border)awhile in my friends Stealth R/T and that thing moved. I went to the Dealer in Juarez and saw one. Sure enough it had a Turbo. Damn thing will eat some L03's and LB9's with some minor tuning. The guy there said Factory claim was a 15.3. I guess thats like the GST Eclipse of the last Generation. Mexico has some weird *** cars people.
