I posted a couple days ago bout my first race with the new motor. Well tonight heading home from the track a '97? eclipse appears in front of me. Of course I do everything to get up next to him and give a little rev. He bought and we went through traffic til we got a little clearing. He was almost a full car length ahead of me when we took off.(imagine that) We running bout 40mph or so. I was in second gear. It took all I had to reel him back in. I was like damn that's one fast 4 banger. I did reel him though, and as soon as I did, he let off. Well, I wanted a better go at it. Never got the line I wanted, we raced again he was at least a half car ahead. Reeled him in again and got just passed him, and again he let off when I had him passed. I figured it was a turbo car, and he finally rolled down his window and told me he was runnin 14psi of boost. Not a bad race, felt pretty good bout pulling a turbo car up top like that. And what I ran tonight at the track is in sig, so he was running pretty quick I'm sure.

 

with all that work done on your engine, i would of thought you could hit a 13 flat, traction problems? Nice race though, its nice to know that your n/a engine can pull top end on a turbo'd car. Just shows how much more efficient your engine is even with the added weight of the block.

 

Look at my sig. I have ALOT not yet done to this car. Motor isn't everything. My tranny is slipping bad, and I have no stall. That one pass was made lastnight. No tune, no launching trials, nothing. Not to mention the computer is stock. There is alot more left in my car. It just needs everything else. It will run low 12's all day when it gets finished. I just have a good place to start.
