Just raced my friend's newly aquired 94 gt with the 5.0 5 speed against my 94 Z28 with the LT1 6 speed. Only mods my car has is a gutted cat and a cutout. I was able to run a 13.9@ 103 with a horrible 2.3 60 foot a couple months ago with it. His GT has bbk shorty headers, flowmaster exhaust, fiberglass cowl hood, 3.73's, no cats, cobra wheels, king cobra clutch, short throw shifter, an unknown cam???, I believe cobra intake, and a few other mods that I can't remember. He got about a bumper's jump on me at the start and by the end of first I made that up, second I pulled another car, and when I shifted to third I pulled so hard he gave up. He felt pretty bad afterwards, but I will say the car looks and sounds real good. Killing modded 5.0's is pretty fun I must say.

Not bad, he should have done better though. With his mods and no cam I ran 13.0 @ 103, but he also weighs more! Sounds pretty good though!

keep in mind shoty headers and a flowmaster exauhst can make a stock 5.0 sound like its cammed

You forgot to mention that was with slicks, long tubes, etc. He has street tires. The car definitely has a cam, but the previous owner didn't know the specs as he bought the car used also.

yeah yeah yeah, but I had to post a "mighty" 5.0 kill Friend of mine with a horribly slow 88 GT thinks it's the *** of cars, but even he must bow to the camaro.

yeah it's not thirdgen related so I have to lock it...but good kill
