hello all, me and some buddys of mine decided to once and for all determine which of our cars are the fastest. ive managed to beat all but one.
mazda mx-3... cute little car. easy race, jumped him from the begining and pulled until couldnt see his car anymore. but definatly and decent car for a 4 banger. able to take down mid ninty stangs(i know what your thinking, who cant?). all he had was full exhaust, CAI, and maybe a little free mods.
mazda rx-7... fun race. but more of a driver race. now, i dont know much about these cars, but i couldnt believe i took him. so we line up right, both launch together, but my torque advantage pulls all of first, and into sec. he stayed at my rear bumber but i killed the race fast. i was afraid of his turbos
. but still one. his car is beautiful, but he prob cant shift for ****, cause i didnt expect to win.
lincoln lsc... a little bit more interesting. the car came with a 5.0 but he soon droped in a rebuilt 5.0HO. headers, intake and some suspension mods is the only other thing hes got. well again, like most of us tpi guys, i killed him from the line, and just kept pulling, but at about 50 i noticed he started pulling a bit. not much, but just enough. we soon ran out of road and were forced to break. decent car.
last, i pose a question for you. my final race is agaist a 73 dodge charger se. i am not sure of what to make of this car. it has a 400 block, but a 2bbl carb. auto tranny(747 correct me if im wrong). and the little 14inch rally rims and a non posi rear end. now this guy claims to take out mustang cobras in top end. im pretty sure its BS, but still, is this race mine? his car is a torque monster cause he spins wheels without trying, or it could be just the 400 with small tires w/o posi. my mods are in the sig. what do you guys think?

Then it was only a single turbo unless he T/T'd it...but if he spent the time/money ot T/T it, he should've wasted you anyways. The 90s models were the T/T ones that were really quick/fast. Nevertheless, he probably would have gotten you in the upper speeds as you said.Originally posted by 87IroZ28

As for the 400....I don't see how he can say he has any top-end at all if he's running a 400 block through a 2bbl carb. Its easy to spin tires with a V6 and non-posi rear

Also, the MX-3's have 1.8L V6's in them I believe...not a 4cyl. They're good for high 15's stock supposedly, if I remember right. Kind of interesting you say you blew him away unless he can't shift.

I think you will take the Charger. As long as you hook up and he doesn't. He is going to have a boat load of torque. Boat is the key word here.
godo kills, i think you can take the charger
thx, now im a lil more confident, as for the mx-3. they also make a 1.6 dohc 4 cylinder. i guess they are not too popular.
