91 305tbi vs 86 350 4bbl

my buddy and i have been debating this pretty heavily so here's the question who would win.

car 1
86 iroc with 350 4bbl, mild cam, stock 700r4, 2500 stall, 2.73 posi rear.

car 2
91 rs w/ 305 tbi, stock 700r4, 2.73 posi rear.

also what kind of et's do yall think would be on each car. thanks guys

assuming that 350 is in any kind of reasonable tune, it should beat the TBI no problem. the TBI will likley be in the low 16s to high 15s, need more info on the 350, but likely a mid to low 15 depending on mods.

I'm gonna say the 350 will take this one, if you are both in dover he can take a shot at my 305 tbi in a couple weeks

305 heads aren't always a bad thing.

So he has raised compression with crappy flow rates, smogger 305 heads aren't good for performance plain and simple.

If its a set of 416's or 601 305 heads it wont hurt him that much they flow very close to cast iron L98's and he gets raised compression from them. Either way the 350 wins. Hes probably running mid 15's or so and your probably running low 16's. Good Luck.

So basically any 305 head on a 350 is a piece of smogger junk, and it is crap? Yep, I guess thats all I need to know about you.

The 350 should win but it'll probably be close. A '77 Vette 350 was way down on power and torque, nowhere near L98 numbers posted above.

Not even that good. I'm can't find the Vette numbers but the LM1 350 used in the '77 Z28 was rated at a dismal 170 HP.
