So I was just driving around enjoying the warm weather. I pull behind a newer pickup (Not sure of the model, had a 5.7 badge on it). He had exhaust and some larger tires, didn't think nothing of it. A bit down the road I pull next to him and see a whole bunch of gages. I'm like hmm, those arent stock

So he paces me for a bit and we catch a light, I take off slow and so does he. Then he pins it, and what do I hear? "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" The wonderful sound of a Roots type blower.

So we catch another light, it turns green and we both took off slow for like the first second, I heard blower whine and nailed it. I was not getting very much traction and neither was he. I finally grabbed hard and pulled ahead, at this point he was about 3ft behind my bumper. I shifted into second and I was still pulling. When we shutdown, I had about a car and a half on him.

He gave me thumbs up, I gave him and honk and we split to cool guys!

 

Sounds about right, and good kill. The roots blower convertions they have for the 5.3 and 6.0 Gen III truck motors are putting them right in the mid 14's at the 95+mph. Sounds like a good run.
