I got to race a 4th gen camaro . it had the z28 lowgos rims and and a ss body kit. on it and i was really happy to get to race one. so we talk and both pull up to the light it turns green and we take off my car fast but not that fast hes was like 5 cars back at 70mph .turns out he was a poser with a v6

If you want a Z28, save your money and buy a Z28. I just dont see the logic of cloning a car without doing the motor. maybe he is in the process, but dont race a known v-8 car with your v-6. Just stupid. Tell him the truth that its not what you think it is.

Ummm......You guys make us thirdgenners look like idiots sometimes . No wonder people always assume the guy in the 3rdgen is a *******, you guys act like children (I have a suspision that some of the people responding to this thread ARE children....). The guy with the Integra hasn't EVER knocked 3rdgens. WHy does everyone assume he is a Risaa? Show a little class guys (and some tact if you lack can muster it).

 

I believe even stu will tell you, that I bear him no ill will, and will not call him names. He and I have had intelligent debates on the "import guy on a domestic site" subject. I am not claiming affiliation with the above rude, obscene, and downright crappy post. I would define r ic e as "any (domestic or import) vehicle that has useless, tasteless so called "mods". also the driver/owner refering to N2O consantly as "nawwsss". as far as the fast and the furious cars, yes they were in fact r ic e because they had lots of non functional modifycations (sp?). andway just my two pennies.

Wow, thanks. I've wanted to build a turbo V8 car, but I'm still in school so I don't have the funds for a side project. I was thinking about a Fox body, but Chevy parts are cheaper right? On top of that, after listening to that acient Phil Hendrie skit, my room mate wants to buy an IROC to fix up just for fun. I was linked to this site to see the thread about the "Pinks" show and stuck around to see which cars were good platforms. Thanks for making me feel so welcome.

 

Chevy parts a definately a little cheaper, but dont let that discourage you. I am a ford guy too, and they arent that expensive. if someone was only interested in going fast a fox body would be a much better choice, but i like the look of thirdgen.

 

I know he's faster than me, lol! I raced a guy 2 weeks ago with an EG hatch with the B18a....car only dyno'd like 170hp and 120ft/lbs (had some good mods), he left me when we hit 2nd gear and just kept pulling. I would guess the car ran 14's. Sonar (member here with 350 TA) ran a diff guy with an LS turbo swap....he (Sonar) got owned so badly it hurt my eyes. What's worse is that the money in each vehicle was crazy, sonar's prolly in his car over 10 grand. Hatch was 5200, including the car.............:hail:
