those rims were butt ugly good thing he messed them up going around a corner!
but i do like the ground effects. were they on when he bought it?
but i do like the ground effects. were they on when he bought it? As a 3800 V6 owner and former L03 owner (same car, diff. engine now)
The odds are against you if he knows how to drive and takes the sound equipment out. I run mid 15's consistant on my 99, its got a 3.08 open rear, 2600rpm stall converter and a lid as mods.
My buddy a few years ago had a 2002 A4 camaro V6 that SPANKED my L03 with full exhaust, open element and in the best condition it ever ran in.
If you do race him, it will be close. I could beat stock L03's with my old 94 3.4 V6 5 speed.
Race him and find out, just don't be disappointed if he does edge you out...especially on top end.

Hell probably beat you , my girlfriends mom had a 2000 v6 for a rental car a while back and I was surprised at how quick it was. It would have blown my car away back when it was an L03, So dont bett on beating this guy. wait until you get that 355.

EDIT: I re-read the thread and understand the play on words now.

To have a V6 LS1 you would have to cut off 2 cylinders of the 5.6L block. That is the LS1. All Gen III engines are not LS1's. Only one of them is. They are LS1's (5.6L), LQ9's (6.0L), 5.3, 4.8, ect ect. Or is that what he meant.

I don't know of a website itself besides maybe finding the info here on 3rdgen but I'd say a typical 3rd gen would be around 33-3400 with a convertible adding around 100-125lbs
