Ok, so I dont race my car. Ever. Tonight I'm just cruising down the road, in traffic, and I see a 4th gen up ahead. Looked completely stock. So I just pull next to him and hive him a thumbs up, and he takes off. So do I, and I'm slow on the gun, and he pulls like 3 cars on me right away, and then backs off. Well I'm looking down at my tach, and I look up and he's let off, so I do the same too, but not before I managed to accidentally give him a flyby. He takes off again and I consider trying to keep up, but I decide not to, because my turn is coming anyways.

What gives? I just wanted to say 'nice car'. Only thing I can think of was that my arm was at about 45* so maybe he thought I was pointing back over my shoulder with my thumb? Do 4thgen-ers hate us 3rdgen-ers or something?
