i have been looking around for a 305 tbi third gen to race against my 89' caprice police intercepter because i used to own a tbi f-body and it feals about as fast. my cars got the 350 tbi 700r4 and 3.42 posi but since it weights a good bit more im thinking it should be pretty close. what are your thoughts?

 

They should run about the same times. An LO3 is around 3400lbs with 170hp and the LO5 is around 4000 with 210hp or so. The power curve to weight ratios are nearly identical. It would be close to say the least.
