i was going to lunch today in Irvine.. which if you dont know is the Civic and Integra Capital of the world.

anyways, i just come up to a red light and next to me is an integra with no wing(surprise) nice wheels and 2 asian guys in the car.

they were sitting so low all i could see was the top of their spikey hair.. anyways, we're sitting there and the driver looks over and says "wanna go?".. im like.."hu"? he says, "that thing aint sh*t against my Vtec"...

i just put it in gear, waited for the light to hit green.. and by by..

at 30 i had a car length.. by 65 i had 2 and pulling.. i slowed down at 75 to 50 to see if he had anything to say.. his passenger just flipped me off as they went by at like 90.. as if to say they won or something??

ahahahhah damn these guys are frickin stupid..

i think im the only person that works in Irvine that has a thirdgen, never seen another one ever in the 5 years ive been working.

Wow, I wish I could have stuff like this happen to me. I have NEVER once had anyone say anything bad about my car, especially a kid that wanted to race. None of them have ever built up their Vtec or anything, they either say nothing, or ask if I wanna go, nothing more...

I guess we dont have the cocky guys out this way, nice kill!

 

I think you should have had him by a lot more than 2 carlenghts at 65MPH.

 

Around here, those types of people will talk and talk, but they scare easily. They will pull up to my friend in his truck all the time and rev on him, and then he'll show them what a 450 hp cloud of smoke looks like, and then they have a tendancy to run the red and take off.

 

i have basically a stock engine.. the only mods to it are an LT1 cam(which is not much better than a L98) and a full exhaust system..

so i think i did pretty well, i dont think his car was completely stock either.. had no interior, fart pipe some gauges. no clue if the motor was touched..

yeah but 2 lengths at 65 seems kinda crappy hu? oh well, maybe its my crappy driving.

my only ET, and my very 1st every run at a track, produced 13.94 @98.89 with a 2.134 60ft.. i basically dumped the clutch from the line, needless to say the amount of wheelspin i had.
