Possible Turbo-ed Miata goes down to the TBI!

This race was a result of a little play from the light before. It was a 3 lane road, and me, the Miata and a mid 90's Stang GT all kind of gunned it at around 30mph, but the light ahead turned red, so we all let off real quick. The Stang turned off, so that just left me and the Miata. .

The Miata Vert was definately modified (exhaust, roll bar and Lord only knows what else) . . so I put down my window to get a better listen

. . .so we go when the light turns green and his little motor is screaming to some high RPM's. . . and this is why I say "possible turbo" because I'm not sure how those are supposed to sound, but it sounded like a blow-off valve everytime he shifted, but it could just be high RPM shifting that I'm not used to hearing. . .

. .but I had 1 1/2 cars of him by 50 and was pulling hard so I just let off. I tried to give him the , but he wouldn't look my direction while sitting at the light. He turned left and that was that.

hmm stock miatas aren't fast. they are pulling 90, 116 or 140 hp.

they don't weigh much and with turbokits they can be very quick.

but not quick enough for me

can't wait to get back on the road.

nice kill, anyway...

Just watch out for those monster miatas with the 302 conversions.
