Well, had a few runs over the last week or so. Actually more like the trips to and from work.

1996 Honda Accord
MODS: Strut tower Brace, fart cannon and a ".005 overbore"

Going to lunch last Friday, I turn out of my works driveway onto Poplar Lvl Rd (4 lane road) and give the Stang a little gas causing it to burn the tires and get sideways real bad. Anyways get up to the light, windows down and I see Jeff pull out hitting his rev limiterl ike mad. Well, he rolls up beside me and the light turns green, hes at about a 15MPH roll and he punches it and I hear that fart cannon sreaming. I roll out form the hole like normal and he hasl ike 4 cars on me, im at about half throttle. I get to 4500 in 1st gear and punch it and the rear tires break traction, quick shift into 2nd gear at 5200 and I just blow past him pretty bad and pretty much ran away from him topped out 3rd gear and let out had a crapload of cars on him. Funniest part is comnig back he gets beside me and guns it and Im in 5th gear and hanging side by side...He went back and said I was having problems hanging with him and that he could take me if he had the chance to "prep" better

WIN: 89 Mustang LX 5.0/5 speed

2004 Pontiac GTO LS1/6 speed
MODS: cat-back exhaust
Going to work last night, I see a GTO pull out of a sidestreet on Poplar Lvl Rd, about 3-4 miles from work. Im in the left lane, hes in the right. He begins pacing me and Im like "Oh ****! That thing will eat me for lunch!" The guy is an older guy probably 40's and has his teenage daughter in the passenger seat. I throw a rev back and then I go 1 Honk, 2 honks, 3 honks and from a 40 MPH roll, im in 2nd and in my powerband. 3rd honk and BAM, hes gone and walks away pretty hard and that LS1 is screaming and when he slams into 3rd, its even worse. Get to the next light and give him a thumbs up and ask what mods he had, he says a Borla cat back and thats it. His daughter is smiling like crazy lol. Anyways, I ask if he wanted to run from a dig and he said sure. I prepare and when it goes green, I launch pretty good and get about a half car head start cause he's spinning a little. I hit 2nd and chirp the rear tires pretty good and then I watch him walk right past me hit 3rd and leave me behind. I was grinning like a madman
Funniest part is, I get to work and walk up to the patio and one of my co workers was like "Damn man, what the hell were you racing? I heard you all the way here." I told him, still smiling and he asked how it turned out. Still girnning from ear to ear, I told him I had to use binoculars to see his taillights

WIN: 2004 Pontiac GTO LS1/6 speed

1986/87 Buick Grand National
Mods: Possible gears, possible boost increase

Coming home from work this morning, I was at a light and a all black GN rolls up beside me and immediately thorws a nasty growling rev. I rev back and I hear him put it into gear and begin to build his RPM's/boost up. We come out of the hole spinning pretty bad and he pretty much left me sitting still...well thats what it felt like. Didnt get to give a thumbs up but everytime it shifted, it would flutter and bark the tiresl ike crazy and it had at LEAST some 295's on the rear that looked rather new.

WIN: 86/87 GN 3.8 SFI

And now for ThirdGen fun

1990 Camaro IROC-Z 'Vert 5.0L TPI/700R4
MODS: FLowmaster muffler, 3.42 disc brake posi rearend

This is a buddy of mine Chris' car. Really nice 'vert with only 76xxx miles on it. He has 2 subs in the back, weighing it down even more. Anyways, we were all out in the garage working one Friday night and I had to make a run to the parts store. I jokingly asked him if he wanted to prove if his car was quick or not. He said he;d smoke my Stang. I told him to bring it and we proceeded to leave. we got out onto the road, which is pretty deserted and straight. I took "suicide lane" and he staged up. I told him 3rd honk and go. I revved to 3k and on the 3rd honk let out, grabbed good and punched it and we were dead even. slammed into 2nd and started pulling away. Slammed into 3rd gear and at the top of 3rd I had about 2-3 cars on him and we shut down. Hopped on the Expressway. going about 35MPH side by side, 3 honks and BAM going form a 35MPH roll! started in 1st, quick shift to 2nd shifted at 5k and kept pulling pretty bad around 2 cars or so there. we slowed down and went from another 35MPH roll acorss the bridge and I had a car lead but when I went to 3rd gear, I missed 3rd bad! He started pulling and had ended up with a car length before we shut down. Course we ran them at the track a few weeks later (or 2 weeks ago) and ran against each other a bunch of times, like 15 Out of those times, he redlighted once and beat me. The other time he beat me because of my horrible 60 fts and horrible 10.02 time. He thinks he can talk smack now, I always tell him to go off and be slow in his 305

Then I remember my Stang is pretty slow now too

WIN: 1989 Mustang LX 5.0/5 speed

Some great races and seeing that GTO in action makes me edge towards either an 04 GTO or a 98-00 LS1 F-body

Cool runs. You are lucky you raced a 3rd gen or you would have been pushing your luck with the rules

When are you going to put that Mustang away and focus on your maro?

Its best time is a 9.31@74.00MPH and thats with some traction issues. It can run 9.3's-94's all day long. Its not too fast but its not too bad.

Shifty, I know I was pushing it but I wanted to get all these in there, figured GM guys would smile seieng a Stang get whipped

As for starting on my Camaro, Im done with this one, going to get like a RS and drop a fuel injected 350/355/383 in there backed temporarily by a TH350 w/2400 Stall, until I can get the cash together got a T56 swap Got the FI setup and the motor/tranny now just need the car and it will be good times

Is that a promise? If so, Ill be sure to have my gears, intake, and Nittos installed....so I can take down another ThirdGen

Actually if I ever need a ThirdGen whipping, all I have to do is get my rommate to run me in his super clean 87 IROC....the whole 383 Stroker and such kinda keeps me at bay.....till I do all my bolt ons then I expect dead even
