351 windsor??

My friend with the 5.0 stang said he's getting a 351 windsor. He says its FI. I thought they were carbed. What kinda numbers do stock 351's put out? Do you need a new wiring harness? He says it will just bolt right up. I'm not that knowledgeable yet.

A 351W is just a block. It's like saying you have a Chevy 350. It's what's bolted onto it that counts.

How's your engine coming along, Wind Charger? The Ford 351 has been EFI since '87. You friend will have to change a few things, but it's easy to build a nasty 351W EFI car and cheaper if he went to a carb. Companies like TFS and Edelbrock still build EFI intakes for the 351W. The TFS intake isn't a 5.0L designed intake adapted to fit a motor with 49 more inches of displacement. This is a 100% real 351W intake made for 351 motors. The Ford pushrod stuff will be more affordable very soon with a ton of people going with the (2-Valve, 3-Valve and 4-Valve) Mod motors.
