new 5th gen firebird?
Does anyone know if there's ever going to be a 5th Gen firebird? I saw those pics of the Camaro and hated it and hope they do something better with it. I just saw the pics of the new 2008 Dodge Challenger and unless there's a new firebird introduced that'll be my next car.

I do like the look of that concept car... looks like a modern day muscle car. I'd scrap the lower grilles next to the fog lights, though. A uniform bumper would look much better in my opinion.

I like it, it looks like a hybrid between a 67 and a 77. I like the bird it's nostalgic. I wish they'd make that car. I'd buy that over the new challenger. Hell though if GM did make it, they'll price it around 40k and wander why it won't sell.

I like the bird....The 70's T/As are my favorite F-body for sure.
And just to try to get this thirdgen and Theoretical race board related. I bet my Lb9 Z28 could take it from a dig

biggest thing I hate about that camaro concept is that the grill is recessed and the continuity of it isn't broken. Just doesn't look right. I understand they're going for a retro 60's look, I just don't like the way it looks so recessed. What I like about the front of the fire bird is that it's interrupted with the emblem coming down from the top. I always wandered what possed GM to put on the pop up headlights on the 3rd gens. At first when they 3rd gen came out I really hated it. I loved the 70's T/A's. But then with the Knight Rider and just seeing them out and finally driving an 84 T/A I fell in love with it. It's a *** damn tragedy that GM discontinued them. They left a hole in their consumer base that, though the GTO is a great car, is unable to fulfill. That is the first car that GM could do that has held my attention like this. I'm emailing them a pic. Maybe they'll wake the hell up.
Hope this link doesn't get erased or deleted I'm emailing this thred to GM.

I just sent this to GM:
I'm a member of ThirdGen fbody website, www.thirdgen.org, and have been an avid pontiac fan for years. Starting with my fiero and and ending with an 86 firebird that I'm currently building. As of late I've felt alienated by GM and have been considering my next purchase to be a 2006 Mustang, or holding off for the new Dodge Challenger. Then I found this:

Oh my *** does that car inspire me. Please tell me that this car will be produced. This will be my first new car if it goes to production.

This is not 3rd gen related and has nothing to do with racing.
There will never be a lounge or general discussion board. All it does is attract trouble makers that damage the credibility of TGO. Plus, it makes more work for us and we hate babysitting. Refer to this thread created by the Admins for further details.
