getting some slicks/eclipse kill

SO, I was finnaly able to get the 'ol GTA out of the garage last week, and I already got my first kill. My dad just started seeing this woman, and she drives a newer eclipse (not the new body style, the one right before it, like 2003 or something) and my old man was talking about how fast it was, and how he thought it would take the GTA. aparently it was the v6 version, he sadi it was an eclipse spyder. So, i told 'em that we should line 'em up. I destroyed her. good times.

Got a question though, one of my dads friends is going to give me a set of slicks. I was wondering what the GTA would run with the slicks. Its a 350 with stock tpi, a flowmaster exhaust, no cats, subframe conectors, and a strut tower brace. also, im thinking of putting on a 100-150 shot of nitrous that i alreadt have. what do you think i would run with and with out the nitrous.

without nitrous on slicks, you should be higher 13's. stock converter is hurtin you tho, and also not having headers

nitrous should shave off a second. and put you high 12's

I doubt you need slicks, unless you have really bad tires. I have performance tires on mine and i just do chirp coming off the line without revving. If i do rev, i squeel for maybe a 3/4 second but im still coming off the line hard.

i would only go with a 75 shot of nitrous. 150 shot, something will break soon. 100 is pushing it.

True, free stuff is always good. I asked ppl before on the board and they told me 75 was safe and 100 pushing. Not sure, maybe someone can chime in who knows more about it

It depends on how well the system is setup, how healthy your motor is, etc.

There are plenty of people on here who have made several 150 shot passes on stock bottom ends without problems. And if your SBC is compession testing alright and you know how to set it up, that's what I would go for. But there are a lot of variables.
