Well "on paper" My Camaro had 305 horsepower stock and the Cobra was rated at 320. But we all know the LS1's were severly underated. Stock horsepower was realistically 350. And with my bolt on's, that Cobra shoulda been toast! That race I had was a perfect example of what happens when You blow a launch. We also all know that 95% of the time a 4.6 Cobra from 98-01 should end up being a snack when racing against an LS1 powered f body.

i dont know what having a new car has to do with it... ive got my new cars and ive got my 3rd gen, but it was a toy not a family car... i could care less if it doesnt have AC or top of the line factory stereo.. or gets good gas millage.. thats not why i bought the car i bought it cause its a cheep car to build,i like the looks of it, and its easy to work on... some people like there RWD escorts "fox bodys" some like to mess with the newer cars... i looked at 4th gens and a few other cars before i picked mine up, but i dont see the point of spending another 500 bucks just for a tune because the computer cant cope with new heads and a cam... seems like a waste to me when i can do the same thing with a screw driver... and im not limited by what the fuel injection system can handle... sure its old school, sure its not the most compfortable ride... the only rattle i get is because of the exhaust but then again thats what i was trying to get out of it... there are nice new cars out there but to acctually run into one that has as much done to it as ive ben able to do to mine is rare, specailly when they mostly are v-6's or gas saving
v-8's... i dont need a 6 way power seat or a full factory warranty... its ment to be a toy and if i did buy a new one i would end up voiding the warranty in 6 months after i was done tossing goodies on it... in the end its still a toy sure mine may have been cheeper than a new car but with the money i saved i got to toss more stuff into it to be able to handle and outrun a new car so why waste the money if you plan on doing anything to it? your still gonna end up doing the same stuff to the car rip all the stock pieces out of it and replace it with new top of the line performance parts
your just going to have a nice monthly payment to go with it...

I love my car it has a bangin sound system plus a nice power seat. I would never sell my 3rd gen because its just a beautiful car and soon to be a classic. Although im slowly trying to fix it up I really do enjoy driving it its just my baby. I could have bought any car that was 30k and below but I bought my really nice 3rd gen because it has always been my dream car. What I have seen diffrent from F-Body owners and Mustang owners is that "WE" are bonded in a centimental way with our cars and they aren't. That is why Im so glad to be a part of this wonderful car community.

I dont see why everyone is hating on mustands...ya there everywere...but thats cuz ford can still market a car unlike the general. im not a ford lover in any means...but what (if you had $30 000 to spend on a new car and thaz all you could buy was something new)...what is there out there to buy....Mustangs...chevy dosent make anything the average joe can affored...and lets face it if we could all afford vettes or vipers we would own them...and you all no you would.
All 25th is trying to do is make u remeber there are still other cars out there other then just 3rd gens...which are creeky and old...i love my bird but its not new and it never will be again...i can make it fast and do what ever i want with it but it will only get older...and creek and rattle...

eaither way a car is a car you do it the way you like be a geo metro or a lambo its still a car and you get out of it what you put into it... and if you wanted to for the extra 140,000 bucks you saved on the lambo over your 9,000 geo metro im sure thats more than enough money to keep up if not blow away the lambo sure people might laugh at it... everyone but the lambo owner and really at the end of the day thats all that matters... you like your car and your happy with it... it will always be a piece of junk to someone else no matter what you own... but ill let them say that as my tail lights get dimmer in there window...

Actually.... The mustang boards that I visit dont bash camaros 1/2 as much as you guys bag on mustangs.
