so my roomate just bought a 98 vette auto , and we put a weiland intake and a ram air set up , so we went and had our first race today , i have a 87 ls1 6 speed all stock . we ran from about 15-20 roll , first race i took him about 2-3 cars , 2nd race i pulled on him after 3rd gear about a car or so. i was also spinning all through first and getting bad tire hop to about 5500 in 2nd ,so i think ill have him more when i get some tires. dose anyone know what a stock ls1 runs in the quarter mile ? people are tryin to tell me i wont break the 14s and ive beat every stock 13 second car out there

 

A stock LS1 in a thirdgen will run high 12s at 107ish if you hook (think M/T ET Streets) and hit your shifts. Be careful launching on a glass 10 bolt rearend. A moser 12 bolt is a worthwhile upgrade.

 

i am getting mid 13's with my lt1 so i would hope a ls1 would do 12's and actually i hoping to get into the 12's with all my mods i have done to the supension
