Ok, this kid at school wants to race me.

He drives a 1993 Eldorado with the Northstar V8 His car is all stock. (Runs 89 octane)

I drive a 1985 Camaro Carb'd 305 with aftermarket air intake, and a mild shift kit in a 4 speed auto. (Runs 93 octane)

How would I do?

It depends.. if its the 4.6L Northstar engine, it's rated at about 295 horsepower.. but it also weighs more [I believe?]

1992 Cadillac Eldorado TC 0-60 8.2 1/4 mile 16.5
I think you'll take him..

Why do you run 93 octane?

Why not just race him? It's all about fun. Who cares if you win or lose; unless you've got money on the line.

I run 93 octane cause my car runs alot better on it, and gets better gas mileage with it. I get like 15-17mpg with 87 and 18-20 with 93

this kid also believe he has the fastest car in the school, but I know that my friend 92 Firebird Formula 350 is the fastest.

Your boat anchor will beat his boat anchor.

Should make for a real exciting race!

Just race him. He might have the fastest car in school but its still a slow *** car.
